When winter is around the corner, anime fans can always feel something massive is bound to happen, especially since Sakamoto Days anime is coming out. For the past few years, several releases around this time have become enormous hits. Likewise, the current winter season will also unpack lots of joy. 2024 will end with Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War Part 3, and the fans will be treated to the much anticipated Sakamoto Days in the second week of January 2025.
Yuto Suzukiโs Sakamoto Days turned many heads when the manga was first serialized. Within a few chapters, the fans were asking when the anime would debut. To everyoneโs joy, Netflix dropped the trailer of Sakamoto Days on July 31, 2024. With just a few days before its release, the anime world is eager to learn when anime would debut.

Sakamoto Days Makes It’s Onscreen Debut on January 11, 2025
After much anticipation, Sakamoto Days will make its onscreen debut on January 11, 2025. Season one will have 22 episodes, divided into two parts. The anime will premiere on TV Tokyo on Saturdays at 23:00 (JST) and be available to stream on Netflix for the rest of the world.
On the other hand, Sakamoto Days Part 2 is scheduled to release sometime in July 2025. No official release date or time has been revealed by the animation studio or Netflix. It is fair to say that there will be a two to three months gap between Part 1โs end and Part 2โs beginning. Fans have a lot of expectations from the anime, especially since it revolves around the โGreatest Hitman of all time.โ
Expectations Are Riding High For Sakamoto Days
The plot revolves around Taro Sakamoto, once regarded as the greatest hitman ever. However, he fell in love with a woman named Aoi Sakamoto and left the world of criminals behind. The protagonist became a convenience store owner, and his physique readily declined. Together, they had a daughter, and everything was going well until his past returned to haunt him.
Taro Sakamoto, with a few helping hands will be facing off against all the nemesis in the most unique and dynamic ways. The anime will have multiple action sequences with bodies dropping like flies. It will not be just a physical anime, since Yuto Suzuki has stress on mental battles too. In one moment, the heroes may enjoy a family dinner, and the next moment it can turn into a bloodbath.

Fans are in for a treat, with the trailer having already given them a glimpse. It would not be wrong to say that Yuto Suzukiโs magnum opus is like John Wick, who still has his family. TMS Entertainment is producing the anime. After watching their past ventures, fans can expect Sakamoto Days to be an all-you-can-eat buffet for action lovers. There will be different types of weapons, and the hand-to-hand combat will be a treat for the eyes.
After watching popular Shonen anime like Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War and Dragon Ball DAIMA, fans can tune in for Sakamoto Days to continue the action but with a touch of reality.
