Dr. Stone Season 4, “Dr. Stone Science Future” release announced for 2025. The season will be 4th and final installment of the “Dr. Stone” series and will span over three cours. The announcement was made on the Dr. Stone Anime series official X (formerly Twitter) account, post the “Stone Festival” held in Japan. A key visual for the upcoming season was also shared featuring adult and kid Senku together, glancing at the moon.
The final season will be a continuation of the third season which streamed in 2 cours, titled “Dr. Stone: New World“. The first and second parts of the third season spanned over 11 episodes each and aired from April 6, 2023, to June 15, 2023, and from October 12, 2023 to December 21, 2023 respectively.
The second season titled “Dr. Stone: Stone Wars” also aired for 11 episodes from January 14, 2021, to March 25, 2021. A television special titled “Dr. Stone: Ryusui” was also released on July 10, 2022, covering seasons 2 and 3 of the series.
The first season of the anime “Dr. Stone” streamed from July 5, 2019, to December 13, 2019, covering 24 episodes. A recap episode titled “Dr. Stone: Stone Wars – Kaisen Zenya Special Eizou“, featuring additional scenes was also released on October 11, 2020, on Jump’s official YouTube channel as a part of “Jump Special Anime Festa 2020”.
The anime series is based on the original Japanese manga “Dr. Stone” by Riichiro Inagaki (Story) & Boichi (Art). The manga was published from March 6, 2017, to December 25, 2023, in Shueisha’s Shounen Jump (Weekly), compiled in 27 volumes covering 237 chapters.

The story is about Senku Ishigami, a teenager with great scientific acumen who wakes up in a world where humanity has ceased to exist and has been petrified for 3,700 years. Senku along with his friends sets on a journey to restore human civilization through the power of science. However, along the way, he faces challenges from those with a different vision of the new world.
