Shoya Chiba Brings Eiji Mishima to Life in Rurouni Kenshin Kyoto Disturbance

Nobuhiro Watsuki’s Rurouni Kenshin is returning to life with its latest adaptation – Rurouni Kenshin Kyoto Disturbance. With fans being exposed to Eiji Mishima, voice actor Shoya Chiba has joined the team to bless fans with his acting prowess. Chiba has previously worked on shows such as Wind Breaker and Fire Force.

The sequel to the 2023 adaptation, which received notoriety, began its airtime on Oct. 4. As the former manslayer wants to put an end to Shishio Makoto’s reign, he faces several opponents on his way, but the catch is, that he cannot kill them.

Rurouni Kenshin Kyoto Disturbance Episode 3 witnessed Himura Kenshin and Makimachi Misao en route to Kyoto. Despite Battosai’s several attempts to avoid the latter, she clings on. However, they did not realize that they were about to run into Shishio’s henchmen sooner than they thought.

On their way, they encounter an unconscious Eiji Mishima in the arms of his brother Eiichiro, who was brutalized by Shishio Makoto’s gang. After regaining consciousness and realizing his brother’s fate, Eiji is heartbroken. This is where Shoya Chiba comes to play with his acting prowess.

After Kenshin discovers his parents, who were hung to death by Shishio Makoto’s henchmen, Eiji Mishima becomes demented. The painful wails of Eiji Mishima were truly brought to life by Shoya Chiba, who had previously worked for shows like Wind Breaker and Fire Force.

Kenshin Himura desires to travel alone to Kyoto to defeat Shishio Makoto. However, he did not expect Misao, a teenage girl from Oniwabanshi to tag along. After accidentally slipping up about his knowledge of Shinomori Aoshi’s whereabouts, Makimachi tags along.

Makimachi Misao had fallen in love with Shinomori, as he had raised her alongside the Oniwabanshu. Since his disappearance, Misao has not obtained the chance to meet the love of her life. But, meeting Kenshin Himura was a blessing in disguise as the Aoshi is one of his biggest rivals.
