Solo Leveling introduced the worldโ€™s best Hunters to the anime community. The protagonist, Sung Jinwoo, belonged to the weakest class of Hunters, which was the E-Rank Hunters. However, through the System, he was chosen to become the successor of the Shadow Monarch, Ashborn. The greater the rank of a Hunter, the greater their abilities. As a result, the strongest guilds are always on the lookout for the high-ranking hunters. To avoid the confusion surrounding the Ranking System, here is a list of all the Hunter Ranks, from lowest to highest.

7. E-Rank Hunters

  • Hunters – Han Song-Yi, Lim Do-Gyu

The E-Rank Hunters are the weakest of all the Hunters. They are a bit more powerful than an average human but are often disrespected in the Hunter world. E-Rank Hunters are not strong enough to fight magic beasts and often render useless in dungeons. As a result, they receive the bare minimum payments in Solo Leveling. The protagonist, Sung Jinwoo, was initially an E-Rank Hunter.

6. D-Rank Hunters

  • Hunters – Yoo Jinho, Joo Jae-Hwan, Kang Jeongho, Kim Sangshik, Park Beom-Shik

D-Rank Hunters are stronger than E-Rank Hunters but individually cannot defeat a magic beast. However, with proper teamwork, they can defeat a magic beast. Even though are stronger than an E-Rank Hunter, they are also not much respected in the Hunter world. Due to their low abilities, they are often overlooked by the strong guilds and have to settle for smaller guilds or go for freelancing.

5. C-Rank Hunters

  • Hunters – Cho Kyuhwan, Go Myung-Hwan, Goo Juntae, Hwang Dongsuk, Lee Chul-Jin, Song Chi-Yul, Yoon Kijoong

C-Rank Hunters are stronger than D-Rank Hunters and can clear a D-Rank Dungeon if they are in a group. They are significantly stronger than an average human and are often used as support during C and B-Rank Dungeons. Their pay scales are also significant, and comparatively enjoy a better lifestyle than D-Rank Hunters.

4. B-Rank Hunters

  • Hunters – Kang Taeshik, Lee Joohee, Park Heejin, Rio Singh

B-Rank Hunters are quite respected in the Hunter world and are significantly stronger, which includes their physicality, mana reserves, and combat skills. They can take down low to mid-level magic beasts based on their abilities. When in a group, they can clear a C-Rank Dungeon. Stronger Guilds try to start their search from B-Rank Hunters since they can hold their ground as the frontmen in low-level raids and as support or mid-tier attackers in high-level raids.

3. A-Rank Hunters

  • Hunters – Gina, Hanekawa, Jung Yerim, Jung Yoontae, Kim Chul, Lee Bora, Lee Minsung, Park Jongsoo, Seo Jiwoo, Son Kihoon, Woo Jinchul, Yoo Soohyun, Han Semi

A-Rank Hunters are quite strong and can take down low to mid-level magic beasts without much problem. They can hold on to against high-level monsters also and are capable of clearing A-Rank Dungeons when in groups. Even though are significantly stronger than a B-Rank, their abilities are pretty lower than an S-Rank Hunter. Guilds are often lookout for A-Rank Hunters since they are dependable, and some of them even possess abilities to clear Red Gates.

2. S-Rank Hunters

  • Hunters – Baek Yoonho, Choi Jong-in, Cha Hae-in, Lim Tae-Gyu, Ma Dongwook, Min Byung-Gyu, Eunseok, Go Gunhee, Sung Il-Hwan

S-Rank Hunters are the strongest kind of Hunters in Solo Leveling. Not only can they clear an A-Rank Dungeon on their own, but they can also take on A or below Rank Hunters. An S-Rank Hunterโ€™s strength cannot be determined by examination due to their sheer mana reserves. Due to their godly strengths, there are only a handful of S-Rank Hunters in Solo Leveling.

They must refrain from showcasing their abilities in the living world since it can cause massive property damage. Due to their immense skills, they are kept under check by the Surveillance Team. Even if they cause property damage, they are not held accountable because of their status. S-Rank Hunters lead a lavish life due to their massive income sources.

1. National Level Hunters

  • Hunters – Thomas Andre, Liu Zhigang, Christopher Reed, Siddharth Bachchan

Among the S-Rank Hunters, there is a special category called the National Level Hunters. National Level Hunters are stronger than typical S-Rank Hunters and can take down an entire nation with their abilities. An S-Rank Hunter gains the title of a National Level Hunter only if they clear an S-Rank Dungeon.

National Level Hunters are feared by the S-Rank Hunters and respected by the entire world. There are only four National Level Hunters in Solo Leveling โ€“ Thomas Andre, Liu Zhigang, Christopher Reed, and Siddharth Bachchan. They gained the title after successfully completing the Kamish Raid.
