While 2023 has been one of Studio MAPPA’s greatest years, it does not mean that it is the best. Upon closer examination, 2025 has been a fertile year for Studio MAPPA, which includes projects such as The Rose of Versailles movie, Jujutsu Kaisen: The Movie Compilation – The Ball Breaking, Zenshu, and Lazarus. However, it does not mean that their show has concluded for the year. The animation studio still has other projects lined up for later this year that might make 2025 their best year ever. With much going around, here are the projects that Studio MAPPA has lined up for the fans later this year.
1. Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc

- Release Date: September 19, 2025
Chainsaw Man returns with a highly anticipated movie by Studio MAPPA, continuing directly after the Katana Man arc and adapting the intense Bomb Girl arc (Chapters 39–52). The story introduces Reze, a seemingly sweet girl who forms a romantic bond with Denji. As a teen unfamiliar with love, Denji is drawn into a deep and emotionally charged relationship, unaware of Reze’s hidden motives. The arc is a romantic tragedy and reveals how blindly trusting anyone often leads them to get hurt. Chainsaw Man Reze arc could very well be becoming one of the most celebrated works of Studio MAPPA, especially with all the detailing and characters included in the arc.
2. Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill Season 2

- Release Date: October 2025
With an irresistible blend of food, a great entertainer, and within a fantasy story, Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill Season 2 has it all. 27-year-old Tsuyoshi Mukouda is accidentally summoned to a fantasy world alongside three heroes. Unlike the others, his unique skill is “Online Supermarket,” which lets him buy modern Japanese groceries. Cast out of the kingdom, Tsuyoshi ventures out alone. His knack for cooking exotic dishes quickly draws attention, especially from the legendary wolf Fenrir, who becomes his familiar after tasting his food. With Fenrir by his side, Tsuyoshi embarks on a lighthearted journey as a merchant and adventurer, amazing people everywhere with his mouth-watering meals.
3. Zombie Land Saga: Dream Paradise

- Release Date: October 24, 2025
Sakura Minamoto had always aspired to be an idol, but her dreams were abruptly ended by a fatal accident. A decade later, she is awakened in Saga Prefecture as a zombie, with no recollection of her past. There, she is informed by Koutarou Tatsumi that six other girls have shared the same fate. To revitalize Saga’s economy, they are tasked with forming a musical group named Franchouchou. As the story progresses, they discover their past lives, all the while getting adapted to the new one. Zombie Land Saga explores the emotional aspect, with the creator implementing some twists to make the story more exciting.
4. Dorohedoro Season 2
- Creator: Q Hayashida
- Release Date: 2025
A dark and hideous district, Hole, has neither any laws nor follows any ethics. The only rule it follows is set by the ones who use magic to dominate it. Mutilation, murder, illegal experimentation, etc., are a part of Hole that often sees the district’s hospital get flooded with people. Among the residents is a lizard-headed, and human body individual named Caiman, with no memory of the past. His only task is to track sorcerers so that they could unearth his past for him. Nikaidou is his partner, who aids in battle as well as in life. Dorohedoro is a complete package with horror, comedy, fantasy, and drama, and will make the viewers feel all kinds of emotions in one go.
