An anime adaptation of Taizan 5’s short science fiction manga Takopi’s Original Sin has been officially announced. A teaser visual and a PV was released on the TBS Anime YouTube channel. The PV showcased the key visual animation and it also revealed that more details about the anime will be disclosed in Jump Festa 2025 on December 22, 2024.
The Takopi’s Original Sin event is scheduled to take place on the Shonen Jump+ 10th Anniversary stage from 15:10 to 15:40 JST.
Takopi’s Original Sin is a short sci-fi manga written and illustrated by Taizan 5. The manga was serialized in Shonen Jump+ from December 10, 2021, to March 25, 2022. With just 2 Volumes(16 chapters) in total, this short manga recorded the highest number of views among the works serialized at the same time.

What is Takopi’s Original Sin About?
A cute little octopus-like creature from ‘Happy Planet’ is on a journey to spread happiness throughout the universe. When he lands on Earth, he meets Shizuka, a lonely fourth-grader, who gets bullied a lot in school and struggles with sadness. Determined to bring a smile to her face, Takopi tries many gadgets from his home planet to try and cheer her up but his efforts fall short. Takopi’s determination to see Shizuka smile only deepens, inspiring him to uncover what will truly brighten her world.
