Team Akuta Members and Their Powers in Gachiakuta

Gachiakuta has just begun airing, and it has already started to turn heads with its intriguing plot and different world-building. Fans were introduced to the protagonist, Rudo Surebrec, and Enjin, with the latter taking up the role of mentor for the former. Enjin is a Cleaner and the leader of Team Akuta in Gachiakuta. Rudo’s unique abilities piqued his interest, and it made him recruit the protagonist.

Team Akuta is one of the strongest factions in Gachiakuta with several powerful members. There are combatants who deal with Trash Beasts, healers who treat the injuries, and members who protect the headquarters. Here is a list of all the members of Team Akuta, along with Enjin and Rudo.

1. Enjin

• Affiliation: Leader

Enjin is a spiky blonde guy with a tall stature and a muscular build. He is one of the most powerful characters in Gachiakuta and acts as the deuteragonist of the anime. Enjin is a humble guy with a laid-back personality and great social skills. Apart from having enhanced strength and speed, Enjin has sharp intuition, making him an able leader of the group.

Enjin’s Vital Instrument is Umbreaker, which is an umbrella with blades on its edges. It can be used as a shield, to attack, and to float in the air. Umbreaker can be used to launch devastating attacks after being deployed from the air. Also, it can be extended using a long wire, making it a perfect choice for long-range attack.

2. Rudo Surebrec

• Affiliation: Combatant

Rudo Surebrec is the protagonist of Gachiakuta and a former resident of the Sphere. He was sent to the Abyss after being falsely accused of murdering his adoptive father, Regto. Later, he was discovered by Enjin and recruited as a member of Team Akuta.

Rudo is a scrawny fellow with white hair and red eyes, and wears gloves to hide scars of parental abuse. Unknown to him, his gloves, named 3R, are a part of the Watchman Series, allowing him to use multiple objects as a Vital Instrument. While Rudo is not as powerful or experienced as Enjin, having the ability to control multiple Vital Instruments makes up for it. He can control up to three objects, and after their usage, the objects get crumbled. Rudo desires to return to the Sphere and prove his innocence by catching the real murderer.

3. Riyo Reaper

• Affiliation: Combatant

A former hitman turned Cleaner, Riyo Reaper, is a young girl with red messy hair and green eyes. Being a former hitman, Riyo is shown to have a calm personality, with a carefree mindset. She gets excited upon facing strong opponents, and even if she determines that her enemy is stronger than her, she keeps her composure.

She uses a pair of scissors, The Ripper, as her Vital Instrument. Upon activation, The Ripper gets as big as her legs, and she attaches her feet to the handles to cut through the Trash Beasts easily. Since The Ripper is a scissor, swinging it to open and then closing in a single move ends up with a double attack. Riyo also uses a gun since she was habituated to it from her former profession. However, after Enjin forbade her to kill people, she only uses it in dire situations, but does it non-lethally.

4. Zanka Nijiku

• Affiliation: Combatant

Coming from the prestigious Nijiku family, Zanka Nijiku is one of the strongest combatants of Team Akuta. He has a tall and slender figure with dark brown hair and navy blue eyes. Initially, he wanted to join the Hell Guard, like his brother and sister, but lost faith in himself after losing the first rank to Hyo. Later, Enjin convinced him to join the Cleaners as he could show his usefulness there and prove others wrong.

Even though he portrays a calm demeanor, Zanka is an emotional character and often loses faith in himself. Zanka uses a stick, Lovely Assistaff, as his Vital Instrument. When activated, it becomes sharper and can be used to cut things or deliver deadly blows to enemies. Lovely Assistaff can be used to pierce Trash Beasts through inverted spikes. Zanka Nijiku’s Vital Instrument can be placed on the ground, and through its vibrations, the user can sense people around when other sensory organs fail.

5. Eishia Stilza

• Affiliation: Healer

Eishia Stilza is a teenager with short height, pink eyes, and short white hair. She is a kind-hearted person, and helps everyone in need, but her shy nature prevents her from taking credit. She keeps her head down and hands together, and barely speaks. Eishia is an excellent healer and uses a power cord as a Vital Instrument. Due to her pure heart and kindness, she is the only one who can heal others. With the help of her Vital Instrument, she heals patients by recharging them. The process of her healing is simple; she converts the electricity that flows through the power cord into life force and heals others.

6. Shikage

• Affiliation: Member

Shikage is a mysterious character who is not only a part of Team Akuta, but also the protector of the Cleaners Headquarters. Nothing is known about them except that they are a human. Even their appearance is mysterious as they are seen covered by a blanket with only their eyes visible as two glowing white dots. Shikage has a strange personality and is visibly afraid of the Hell Guards.
