Let’s Explore the Witches of Sin in Re:Zero

Satella – Witch Of Envy

Re Zero Witches Satella

Satella, who is the current Witch of Envy is arguably the strongest of them all. Being incompatible with the Authority of Sin, a rather heartless personality was born from her that was a perfect suit, as she ended up slaughtering countless innocent civilians.

Her powers involve controlling shadows for attack and defense. Not only does she possess immortality, but it was revealed that she had gifted Subaru the ability to Return from death.

Echidna – Witch of Greed

Re Zero Witches Echidna

Responsible for the creation of Puck and Beatrice, Echidna was an intellectual. She also created Omega and Sphinx, in her attempt to clone her memories onto them. Echidnaโ€™s abilities have not yet revealed as of yet, however, it is hinted that the Book Of Wisdom is a factor. The Witch of Greed is also revealed to have created Meteors, which are functional despite several years passing.

Minerva – Witch of Wrath

Re Zero Witches Minerva

As someone who despised fighting, Minerva developed abilities to heal the physical injuries of people. Despite this, she is considered the second-most calamitous Witch of Sin after Satella.

Her abilities consisted of striking people, which led to their injuries healing. However, this involved an imbalance as the supposed damage would be evenly distributed to someone else in the world. For every person she healed, an accidental death would occur.

Sekhmet – Witch of Sloth

Re Zero Witches Sekhmet

As the name suggests, Sekhmet was the laziest of the Witches of Sin. Despite this, she was regarded as the second-most powerful following Satella. She possesses the Authority of Sloth, which allows her to pulverize individuals with an invisible shield of sorts. Following her death, her Authority was transferred to Petelgeuse Romanรฉe-Conti and Natsuki Subaru.

Daphne – Witch of Gluttony

Re Zero Witches Daphne

As a product of a cruel human experiment, Daphneโ€™s consumption levels were immeasurable, albeit animals or human beings. She is responsible for the creation of the Witchbeasts’ man-eating monsters. With her abilities unknown as of yet, Daphne was morally superior compared to her contemporaries.

Typhon – Witch of Pride

Re Zero Witches Typhon

Despite the size of the crime and guilt, Typhon slaughtered them. Having the Authority of Pride, this naive young girl was responsible for making judgments about people who she deems sinners. She can shatter oneโ€™s body if she considers them to be guilty of their crime. Due to her gullible nature, Typhon has caused several massacres, as she touched and murdered countless people who only performed miscellaneous wrongdoings.

Carmilla – Witch of Lust

Re Zero Witches Carmilla

Owning the Authority of Lust, Carmilla had the ability to manipulate the minds of people, who then viewed her as an entity they fell in love with. She also could captivate people with her powers, prompting them to die as they would forget to breathe.
