With the One Piece anime on a cruel six month hiatus, October 28, 2024 saw the release of one of the most important teasers of the entire series. Commemorating volume 110 of the One Piece manga, the promotional video hinted at what is to come from chapter 1111 to chapter 1121.

Vegapunk’s Censored Speech in One Piece Volume 110
The video starts with a television broadcast of a scene at a beach. This is interrupted by Dr. Vegapunk’s message, which is bombarded with information. The genius scientist is talking about the Truth of the World, yet everything is hidden, covered up, erased, and CENSORED. Who is responsible, and why is the information censored?
Vegapunk’s message shows important events such as the Ohara’s ruin by a World Government sanctioned Buster Call and the murder of archaeologists who developed a hypothesis about the Void Century.
More relevant information, such as a person capable of controlling the Sea Kings, the silhouette of Sun God Nika, Imu and the Five Elders, the poneglyphs, the location of Pluton, and the mysterious Sunken City of Wano, is revealed in quick succession before the World Government is successful in stopping the transmission.
Dr. Vegapunk’s last words were, “The World is…” With the revelation of the poneglyphs, weapons such as Pluton and the sunken island of Wano, everything is not as it seems anymore. Tumultuous times lie ahead as Vegapunk clearly hinted at catastrophic worldwide events. That is the reason why the World Government censored the message.
What to Expect in One Piece Volume 110
One Piece volume 110 will cover chapter 1111, “Sunshield,” where Luffy reunites with Dorry and Brogy while battling the Five Elders. Arguably, one of the most important volumes of the series, the final chapter that will be covered is chapter 1121, “The Upheaval of the Era,” where Dr. Vegapunk’s catastrophic world revelation comes to the fore. We won’t spoil it for you, but here is a mystery.
