Similar to the Cleaners and the Raiders, the Hell Guard is a faction on the Ground in Gachiakuta. The primary difference between them and the other two factions is that Hell Guard mostly consists of non-Givers, while the other two prioritize Givers.
Hell Guards act as the law enforcers on the Ground and subdue individuals who commit crimes. Even though they are “law enforcers,” the Hell Guard do not shy away from torturing people to gain information. There is a special prison for torturing individuals. They are a powerful faction with people who are capable of giving Givers a hard time for their money.
Training, Authority, and the Mission of the Hell Guard
It is not easy to be a Hell Guard. To become a Hell Guard, one has to register at the training camp in the Kamutari District and complete every training. They are an authoritarian organization, with the Cleaners having to provide them with job reports if any civilians were hurt during the completion of any job. Since they are mostly non-Givers, they have access to firearms for protection.
Apart from maintaining order on the Ground, the Hell Guard is also responsible for investigating the connection between the Sphere and the Ground. The organization has divisions known as Horn Squads.

Gachiakuta’s Hell Guard Members
The Nijiku Family is the foundation of the Hell Guard. Zanka Nijiku’s mother is the leader of the Hell Guard, and his siblings are leading different squads within the organization. Here is a list of the known members of the Hell Guard organization.
1. Kyouka Nijiku
Kyouka Nijiku is the elder sister of Zanka Nijiku and Goka Nijiku. She is a tall and muscular woman with short red hair. She has blue eyes, wears red lipstick, and eyeliner. Kyouka’s hairstyle is similar to her brother’s, with the only difference being that her bangs are long enough to cover her left eye. Similar to other Hell Guard members, she wears baggy clothes. On top is a red long coat with a blue kimono on the inside.
Kyouka Nijiku has a tough personality, which is required for her profession. Sometimes she is scary and intimidating, but she always has control over her composure. She is the leader of the Red Horn Squad. Since she is a non-Giver, Kyouka uses a gun as her primary weapon. It is strong enough to overpower Givers but not fatally injure them.
2. Goka Nijiku
Goka Nijiku is the elder brother of Zanka Nijiku. He is also a tall human with a samurai-like appearance. He wears a traditional straw hat, has samurai-like armor, heavy robes, and a chest plate with the Hell Guard symbol. He portrays himself as a warrior and carries a sword. His hairstyle is similar to Zanka’s, but shorter.
Goka Nijiku has a stern personality, but showcases his aloof side sometimes. He is proud of being a part of the Nijiku family. Goka is proficient in using his katana as well as firearms, since he was trained to use them.
3. Hyo
Hyo is a Hell Guard trainee who topped her class. She was born in a slum and dethroned Zanka Nijiku from the top of the class. Hyo is an average-sized girl with pink eyes and no pupils, and inverse bob cut hair. She is seen wearing the common Hell Guard trainee outfit. Hyo is a confident female who has a quiet and serious personality.
Hyo possesses an uncanny fighting style, which helped her defeat all the students in her class. They were unable to figure out how to counter her. Also, when given a choice, Hyo opted for a katana as her weapon.
