B-Komachi is an idol group in Oshi No Ko. The series is garnering attention and love worldwide, having won the Anime of the Year at the 2024 Tokyo Anime Award Festival. Here is all you need to know about the iconic pop idol group!
B-Komachi is an idol group with an affiliation to Ichigo Production Inc. They are a creative unit whose activity has been passed down to the present generation in the narrative of Oshi No Ko. The series is about the life led by superstars and entertainment personalities. The facade that garners applause and the hardships of the real human beings underneath these veils are the main subjects of Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yoyari’s creation.
Original Generation of B-Komachi
The Original generation of B-Komachi consisted of seven members. The founding members were Ai Hoshino, Takamine, Fuyuko Niino, and Watanabe. Meimei, Ari, and Kyun are the three other artists who completed the formation of the pop idol group after their affiliation with Ichigo Production Inc. This generation basked in the limelight for 10 years. Its founding was led by the debut of 12-year-old Ai Hoshino. With her unique charm and charisma, Ai gradually became the core of the iconic pop idol group. Her presence was one of the main factors for their overall fame and popularity. Ai’s tenure as an idol was cut short due to her being murdered on her birthday. With her no longer present, B-Komachi disbanded after two years. Consequently, the Idol Department of Ichigo Production Inc. was decommissioned.
Current Generation
Ruby Hoshino, Kana Arima, and Mem-Cho are the members of the Current generation of B-Komachi. Ai Hoshino’s daughter, Ruby took on the mantle to kick start the second generation of B-Komachi when she joined Ichigo Production Inc to become an idol. Kana Arima was recruited into the group following Aqua Hoshino’s recommendation. Following this, Mem-Cho, a streamer joined the group. With big shoes to fill, the Current generation of B-Komachi performed well, following in the footsteps of their predecessors. They utilized all the resources they had to try and become successful. Ruby’s charm was unique as well, underscoring her importance to the group, just like her mother.
