Satoru Nii’s Wind Breaker follows the journey of Haruka Sakura, who joins Furin High and desires to rise to the top by becoming the strongest delinquent. However, his motive takes a massive hit when he learns that the Furin High he heard of no longer exists.
The gang of Furin High, Bofurin, has changed, and now, instead of causing trouble, they help the townspeople and make the neighborhood better. While Hajime Umemiya has been a standing figure behind Bofurin’s massive transition, it raises the question of why such a helpful gang was branded as the worst kind of delinquent group, who were always fighting and made the town a living hell. Well, that is where Chika Takiishi comes in.

The Strongest Fighter In Furin’s History – Chika Takiishi
As the title suggests, Chika Takiishi is the strongest member of Furin’s history. It may come as a surprise to many, especially after seeing several potent fighters in the anime, but Takiishi overpowers them all. Chika Takiishi loved violence, and nothing gave him joy like fighting. He is a tall and handsome man with red hair and yellow highlights at the ends. His expressions are cold, that is, unless he is in a fight, during which he showcases excitement or joy.
He was a graceful fighter, using his hands and legs smoothly and efficiently. On top of that, he had immense strength, speed, durability, and reflexes, making him the strongest fighter in Wind Breaker. His high kicks were especially deadly. Even the slightest actions can make him angry, and he lashes out without thinking much. Takiishi is a natural fighter and the reason why Furin was feared and hated back in the day.
However, it wasn’t until he had a fallout with Hajime Umemiya and left Furin. He and Umemiya used to fight regularly, without any clear winners. He hated Umemiya’s guts and his views on making Furin a respected and helpful gang. Yamato Endo and his gang, Noroshi, also left. Currently, Chika Takiishi is the leader of Noroshi, with Yamato Endo as his right-hand man.
How Does Chika Takiishi Shape Up Wind Breaker?
Chika Takiishi is the main antagonist of Wind Breaker alongside Yamato Endo, a major antagonist of the Noroshi War Arc. The former dislikes the fact that Furin has abandoned its old ways and is opposed to the notion of fighting. Yamato will use this hatred and cause a gang war between Bofurin and Noroshi.
It turned out to be a full-blown war, with both sides bringing in their allies. Chika Takiishi brought out Hajime Umemiya’s old self, and the duo unleashed themselves in what appeared to be the decisive moment of the war. Due to Umemiya’s good deeds, the strongest fighter of Furin turned out to be their biggest threat.
