Who is X/Slur? Meet the Mystery Person Targeting JAA members in Sakamoto Days

Sakamoto Days season 1 episode 5 raised a massive question amidst the fandom – Who is X/Slur? The brief appearance of the main antagonist of the anime surprised everyone. Clearing off one-quarter of the JAA is not everyone’s cup of tea. Moreover, The Order has been assigned to take care of the situation.

One of the key features of X/Slur is that he leaves an ‘X’ on the wall, written with blood from the people he killed. Even though the antagonist was shown only for a fraction of a second, that too from behind, fans want to know more about the person who is threatening the entire JAA, let alone Taro Sakamoto.

Who is X/Slur In Sakamoto Days?

It might come as a shock to many, but X/Slur is actually a friend of Taro Sakamoto and Nagumo Yoichi. He was a student at the JCC, and they studied in the same batch. X/Slur’s real name is Kei Uzuki, and is the younger brother of the Chairman of the JAA, Sei Asaki. He was one of the most gifted assassins during his JCC days, even though he was overshadowed by Sakamoto, Nagumo, and Rion.

Before disappearing from the JCC and reappearing as Slur, Sakamoto, Nagumo, Rion, and Uzuki were assigned a mission with Kindaka supervising them. They were escorting the wife and daughter of the then-JAA Chairman. However, coming under his brother, Sei Asaki’s influence, he got involved in a mishap during the mission and fled the scene, with Rion Akao following him. It was the last time he was seen before returning as X/Slur.

What Are X/Slur’s Abilities?

Kei Uzuki, popular as X/Slur, is a naturally gifted assassin. He might not be as flashy as Sakamoto, Nagumo, and Rion, but he kept a calm mind and analyzed everything before making a decision. His intellect was a major help to the trio when they faced Kindaka. Apart from that, he is fast and lethal. However, his best ability by far exceeds all the other abilities.

He has a multiple personality disorder. When in dire situations, pushed to a corner, or suffering from traumatic events, his personality changes. His real identity is Kei Uzuki, but after spending years with Rion Akao, he took up her personality after she died. In another situation, when he faced a near-death situation while fighting Takamura, he took up his personality and finished him off.

While adapting to their personalities, he also took up their stances and attacking styles. It is as if Rion and Takamura’s souls entered his body. So, apart from having his own personality, he has the personality of two other powerful assassins.
