Without creating further suspense, the Wind Breaker in discussion is a webtoon created by Yongseok Jo, and not Satoru Niiโs magnum opus. While Sakura Haruka fans sighed in relief, Jo โJayโ Ja-hyeonโs story might have reached its end even before reaching the climax. The webtoon has been going on for more than a decade, having begun on December 8, 2013.
To date, it has been collected into 26 volumes and is one of the most-read sports manhwa available on Line Webtoon. Unfortunately, the webtoon discontinued on July 11, 2025, due to a serious allegation that was made against it. Wind Break webtoon was at its peak of popularity with nearly a billion views. However, things changed with the recent allegations and plagiarism controversy. For that reason, the webtoon has been officially canceled. The creator, Yongseok Jo, released a statement, apologizing to the fans for such distressing news. He said that it was his fault for not keeping up with the deadlines.
Naver Corporation, which owns Webtoon, also released a statement, mentioning the internal investigation that took place and their discovery of Yongseok Joโs artwork and structure having similarities with other authors. Although fans wonโt get a full experience of Jo โJayโ Ja-hyeonโs cycling story, the author has uploaded the remaining manuscripts on his blog for people to read.

Jo โJayโ Ja-hyeon is the best student in his class, scoring straight Aโs every time. To add to his list of achievements, Jay is also the Student Body President. He found a new passion in cycling, following his uncle, Jo Mahyeon, a former professional cyclist. Jay got hooked and joined the Hummingbird Crew, his schoolโs biking team.
