Watch out Anime fans! A new Koro-sensei is in town. Well, sort of. Horror Manga author Ooyamada has blessed fans with his new series Yattara, which you can check out on Manga Plus! Let’s take a deep dive into the first chapter of this terrifying creature’s journey and the author’s previous works.

What Is Yattara About?
It is a story about a gluttonous monster who spawns from the sacrifice of a man who is genocidal. This black chasm of a creature is the physical embodiment of the aforementioned man’s desire to see the world burn. The only thing that this being cares about is eating. It solely derives pleasure from devouring human beings to satisfy its hunger. As it is on its path to swallow anything on its way, the Koro Sensei look-alike spots three malnourished children. However, after watching the moribund group of children put up a fight against this behemoth, Yattara decides to raise and nourish said children, to ultimately consume them in their well-fed state.

Who is Ooyamada – Author of Yattara?
For Ooyamada, Yattara appears to be his first serializing manga. It appears that the author is no stranger to the horror genre and is looking to perfect his skills with this new manga series. His one-shot horror manga Kaidanshi and Iwanu ga Hana were recognized by the highly esteemed Shonen Jump+.
