Solo Leveling Season 2: Arise from the Shadow concluded with episode 13, with the Fourth Jeju Island Raid officially becoming a success. Even after the death of the Queen Ant and the Ant King, the soldier ants were flying towards land and attacking the hunters present on the borders of the island. It was after defeating every last one of those beasts that the mission turned out to be successful. However, the conclusion was still missing something, and when looked carefully, there were some major differences in the anime compared to the manhwa. All the major scenes missing in the anime are mentioned further on.

Ant Queen’s Extraction Was Omitted

One of the major scenes that was omitted in the anime was Sung Jinwoo extracting the Shadow of the Ant Queen, but her powers decreased since she mostly uses her mana for reproduction. Even though Jinwoo extracted her shadow, after hearing Beru’s comment, he released her.

Min Byung-gu Suffered Several Changes

Min Byung-gu’s lifeless body was brought near Sung Jinwoo by a High Orc Shadow soldier in the manhwa, but in the anime, it was brought by Tusk. Jinwoo had difficulty in extracting the healer’s shadow, but in the anime, his shadow was extracted in a single try. In the manhwa, Go Gunhee was mourning Min Byung-gu’s death, but there was no mention of it in the anime.

Several Extra Scenes Were Added

There are several extra scenes added in the anime, which are not in the manhwa. The Japanese Hunter’s Association Chairman, Reiji Sugimoto, had an extra scene where he was significantly frustrated about Goto Ryuji’s death. Another added sequence was when the helicopter with the Korean S-Rank Hunters was attacked by the Flying Ants. There is an extended scene of the hunters fighting the Flying Ants, which was not present in the manhwa. At the end of episode 13, a scene of Cha Hae-in wanting to become stronger was added. Even though there was no mention of Jinwoo obtaining Baran’s sword in the manhwa.

Beru’s Scenes Were Cut Short

In the manhwa, Sung Jinwoo received a Rune Stone from the Ant King’s dead body, but it was not shown in the anime. Also, there was a special reason for Sung Jinwoo to name the beast Beru, but it was omitted in the anime. Beru coming out of an egg never happened in the manhwa. Also, the conversation between Beru and Sung Jinwoo about the Flying Ants going here and there took place inside the cave in the manhwa, but in the anime, it happened on a mountaintop.

The International Saga Was Missing

After the Fourth Jeju Island Raid Mission’s success, the American Government Officials, Michael Corner and David Brennan, were seen talking about Sung Jinwoo. The protagonist also met with Norma and Adam White after the Raid, and there was also a scene with Thomas Andre. All these things happened in the manhwa but did not show up in the anime.
