The AOT franchise is set to get a new anime movie titled Attack on Titan: The Last Attack and it will be released in Japanese theatres on November 8, 2024. ย The information regarding the release of the anime movie Attack on Titan: The Last Attack in other regions is yet to be announced. The upcoming Attack on Titan movie, Attack on Titan: The Last Attack is produced by Pony Canyon and animation is being handled by MAPPA Studios.
The anime film will be a compilation of the final season of the anime “Attack on Titan Final Season THE FINAL CHAPTERS” (Shingeki no Kyojin: The Final Season – Kanketsu-hen). A new teaser trailer was released on Pony Canyon’s official YouTube channel along with a new visual for the announcement of the upcoming film of The Attack on Titan franchise.

Attack on Titan anime is based upon one of the best-selling Japanese Manga with over 140 million copies sold (by November 2023), Shingeki no Kyojin by Hajime Isyama. The manga was serialized from September 9, 2009, to April 9, 2021, in Kodansha’sย Bessatsu Shounen Weekly Magazine. The manga has been compiled into 34 volumes covering 141 chapters.
The first season of AOT television anime adaptation by WIT Studios aired fromย April 7, 2013, to September 29, 2013, for a total of 25 episodes, followed by a 12-episode second season airing from April 1, 2017, to June 17, 2017. The third season aired in two cours, with the first 12 episodes airing from July 23, 2018, to October 15, 2018, and the second part airing from April 29, 2019, to July 1, 2019, for a total of 10 episodes.
The final 4th season by MAPPA Studios was divided into two parts with the first part airing from December 7, 2020, to March 29, 2021, for 16 episodes. The second part of the 4th season aired from January 10, 2022, to April 4, 2022, for 12 episodes. While, the 3rd and final part of the season premiered as 2 special episodes on March 4, 2023, and November 5, 2023, respectively.

The film will extend to a total of 145 minutes (approx.). The anime movie will also feature some additional scenes and higher-quality animation, offering fans a more immersive experience in the theatres.
Yuichiro Hayashi, the director of the film also shared a special message on the occasion of the announcement.
โI originally drew the storyboards [for The Final Chapters] with the idea that it would be watched as a single movie. So, having the opportunity to have everyone watch it in the best possible environment, the theater, is a dream come true for me.โ

Attack on Titan: The Last Attack (Theme Song Performance)
The AOT: The Last Attack anime movie will feature the theme song by Linked Horizon “To You in 2,000… or… 20,000 Years From Now” (Nisen-nen.. Moshiku wa…Niman-nen ato no Kimi e). The audio quality has also been advanced to 5.1 surround sound for a theatrical experience.
