Only a few days remain before Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc hits the theatres. The fans are excited to see Chainsaw Man on the big screen, as it has been a few years since the first season premiered. With the air filled with excitement, Chainsaw Man Chapter 213 gave a subtle hint about a major character from Denji’s past. Tatsuki Fujimoto’s beautiful storytelling may have timed the return of the Bomb Girl at the perfect time. Although her return has not been extensively explored, the latest chapter hints at her return, coinciding with the movie’s release.
Yoshida’s Sacrifice Opens The Door For The Bomb Girl
Chainsaw Man Chapter 213 featured Yoshida paying a visit to Denji, while he was resting in the nurse’s office. They shared a wholesome moment, with Yoshida bringing pizza and drinks, and the two enjoyed a normal conversation. Yoshida particularly started to get more emotional as he spoke about being grateful to Denji for giving him a chance to go to school, making memories, and having a jolly time. While he was tasked with looking after Denji, it was a fun experience for him.
With nostalgia filling up the manga panels, Yoshida suddenly stood up and bid goodbye to Denji. They shook hands and greeted in their manner. It was at that moment that Yoshida said, “Sorry. My role is to be a switch,” and then a blast big enough to destroy the school happened. While it looked like it was Yoshida who was carrying the bomb, the fans could not help by notice Tatsuki Fujimoto subtly teasing the return of the Bomb Girl.
How do Denji and Yoshida’s Actions signal The Bomb Girl’s Return?
The Bomb Girl is the Bomb Devil, who is also known as Reze. She was a major character in Chainsaw Man Part 1 and the main antagonist during the Reze arc. Since she is the Bomb Devil, the creation of bombs and bomb blasts makes her stronger. With Yoshida sacrificing himself by causing a blast and identifying himself as a switch, there is a strong possibility that he might be hinting at her. Tatsuki Fujimoto is known for these subtle hints, especially when he teased the Death Devil in one of the previous chapters. Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc will release on September 19, 2025, and no time is better than the present to bring back Reze.
Apart from the “Bomb” hint, there was another hint in the chapter when Denji said he was a “Chick Magnet.” After the Death Devil showed him her underwear, and Fumiko Mifune handed him a “Nude Picture” of her, Denji came to that particular conclusion. The “Chick Magnet” term also teases Bomb Girl’s return since Reze used to be Denji’s girlfriend. While she was assigned to rip Chainsaw Devil’s heart out, she fell in love with Denji, marking Denji’s first official boyfriend/girlfriend relationship. Chainsaw Man Chapter 213 started and ended with teasing the Bomb Girl’s return. However, only the future chapters will reveal whether she will return or if it was just a fluke.
