Kagurabachi has significantly upheld its status in the manga world after making a dazzling debut on September 19, 2023. Takeru Hokazono’s masterpiece instantly became a hit, and after 65 chapters, it remains one of the most popular manga on Shueisha’s Manga Plus. Chihiro Rokuhira’s journey may seem to have begun long ago, but it is still just the tip of the iceberg.
Kagurabachi chapter 64 was released on January 19, 2025. It featured an interesting sword technique called the Iai White Purity Style. Chapter 65 saw Chihiro’s foe raise the question of how he could master such a difficult technique without a master. The question has got the fans thinking about whether imitation is enough to master the technique.
What is the Iai White Purity Style?
Chihiro Rokuhira debuted the Iai White Purity Style in chapter 64 of Kagurabachi. The technique was discovered by Itsuo Shirakai and later perfected by Seiichi Samura and Yoji Uruha. The Iai White Purity Style is a difficult technique that causes the user to build up their spirit energy and contain it in the scabbard of their swords. While drawing out the sword, the energy is unleashed, which allows the user extreme speed. The technique helped Chihiro to catch up with Kuguri, who was going after Samura’s daughter.
Is Imitation Enough to Master The Iai White Purity Style?
While all three of them were trained swordsmen, Chihiro was initially a swordsmith who wielded a sword after being driven by revenge. So, it is difficult for him to master the Iai White Purity Style. However, he possesses a certain ability that makes him different from the rest. His father, Kunishige Rokuhira, was a master swordsman and the person behind creating the enchanted swords. Creating an enchanted blade is not an easy task.
The swordsmith needs to draw out the Datenseki’s (the raw material used to create the enchanted sword) true power, but it is toxic by nature. However, Kunishige was different. Purely based on his sight, he could draw out the Datenseki’s stabilizing properties. His ability to observe minute details was inherited by Chihiro. By watching Samura use the technique, the protagonist grasped the hand and sword movements of the Iai White Purity Style.
Chihiro’s sight has helped him grasp the basics of the advanced technique. But it is still not polished enough like Samura or Uruha’s. He might need to train under a trained individual to reach the abilities full potential. It is just the of Chihiro’s journey. Depending upon Enten is not the solution for his revenge. He needs to diversify his arsenal. Imitation seems to be a strong quality, but a master will help him hone his abilities to their greatest point.
