Chainsaw Man chapter 189 was released on January 7, 2025. The chapter featured Denji and Yoru teaming up with Yoshida, the latter having a contract with Octopus Devil. Together, they were trying to end the Aging Devil. However, the limelight was taken by Fumiko Mifune, who has a contract with the Aging Devil, along with other Public Devil Hunters. While the Aging Devil was busy fighting the Chainsaw Devil.
On the other hand, Denji, Yoshida, and Yoru were planning to take down Aging Devil. Since Denji’s stomach was connected to the Chainsaw Devil, they used his mouth as a portal to exit from the Chainsaw Devil’s mouth. Yoshida and Yoru tried to attack the Aging Devil, but both of them failed, with Yoru almost losing his life. After the Aging Devil started to use the Devil Hunters’ body organs as a means to subdue Chainsaw Devil to make it eat the Aging Devil.
With Fumiko being more enthusiastic to help the Aging Devil, she started to lose her organs continuously, ultimately leading to her demise. Before dying she uttered something about giving Yoshida her heart. After her death, a female character appeared, who resembled Fumiko. It is yet to be revealed who she is and whether she is related to Fumiko. Chainsaw Man chapter 190 is speculated to bring about the revelations.
