Chihiro Rokuhira confronts Hiruhiko with his dark side in Kagurabachi Chapter 53. The deadly swordsman accepts his fate as he firms thousands of paper cranes which inflicted cuts onto him. Rather than letting this stop him, his desire to take the Hishaku down to hell stays within, prompting him to get into close range with his enemy.
Chihiro vs Hiruhiko: A Complex Battle in Kagurabachi Chapter 53
After the psychological torment that Hiruhiko caused Chihiro to have in the previous installment, Kagurabachi Chapter 53 showcases otherwise. Before the swordsman’s unbothered confrontation, the Hishaku member tries to confuse him. Hiruhiko reveals his belief in a possible friendship with Rokuhira.
Hiruhiko believes Chihiro is the only person to understand him, thus claiming they could be good friends. This baffles Rokuhira as the sorcerer constantly contradicts himself by also revealing his desire of wanting to kill the swordsman.
Reciting the play that the audience in the theatre was engaged in, Hiruhiko takes a bystander hostage. This was the last straw for Chihiro as he had to be inflicted with paper plane cuts. As the master of close combat, Rokuhira shows his defensive abilities and cuts one of the sorcerer’s arms, as he gets in his face.
Chihiro and Samura’s flashback in Kagurabachi Chapter 53
Kagurabachi Chapter 53 also gets into a deep conversation that Samura and Chihiro were involved in. The Enchanted Blade wielder warns Rokuhira not to give him the gaze of admiration. Samura revealed the reason why he blinded himself. He claimed that he could not stand to look at the severed flesh of a human being after he had killed his first opponent.
This had left an impression on the young Chihiro Rokuhira. He learned that Samura had been wielding his sword in darkness, purely for the reason of saving others around him. He affirmed the Enchanted Blade wielder about him not becoming a swordsman. However, the future has changed as the once-wide-eyed Chihiro is no longer present.
Kagurabachi Chapter 54 Release Date
Kagurabachi Chapter 54 will be released on Oct. 20 at 8 a.m. on Manga Plus, or Shonen Jump+ with a subscription.
