Clevatess Episode 5 released on July 30, 2025, and it came with a major revelation. From the first episode, the anime was clear about its dark tone, and likewise, the multiple murders and slaughter of a city were just a preview of what was to come in the future.
The anime introduced Clevatess, one of the Four Lords of Dark Beasts who rules the South, in its premiere episode. However, the other three remained a mystery until episode 5 finally revealed Zavthier of Phantasms.
Who Is Zavthier of Phastasms?
Zavthier’s status as one of the Four Lords of Dark Beasts is enough to prove her unrivalled strength and presence. Unlike Clevatess, Zavthier is a female and is seen in a humanoid form with wings sprouting from her ankles. However, it is most likely that it is not her true form, as each Lord of Dark Beasts has a separate true form.
Zavthier rules the Great Western Forest and is worshipped as a God by the People of the Forest, Orgg, showcasing that she is the closest to humans out of all the Lords of Dark Beasts. While Zavthier’s true form remains unknown, the Dark Beast has several strong abilities up her sleeve. She has an underling named Gart, who can shapeshift. Zavthier’s love for humanity reversed when Demon Children suddenly started to disappear. It caused her to resent them and want to obliterate humanity.

What Are Zavthier’s Abilities?
Like all the other Lords of Dark Beasts, Zavthier can shapeshift. As mentioned by Clevatess, the female Dark Beast King is a master of illusion, and no one comes closer to her when it comes to weaving illusions. Due to her illusionary skills, Zavthier is often called “Zavthier of the Mist” since mist and forest are a deadly combination for the enemies. With her powers, Zavthier has protected the People of the Forest for several years.
While her powers have not been explored much, it is speculated that the wings that sprout out of her ankles have certain abilities. Also, it is believed that she is the strongest in her true form.
