Dandadan Season 2 was announced the next day after Season 1 wrapped up. The popularity of Yukinobu Tatsu’s magnum opus demanded another season and the producers kept the release window of the sequel during July 2025. The Dandadan Season 2 trailer racked up millions of views within hours to highlight how eagerly everyone was waiting for it.
Science SARU, popular for Devilman Crybaby and Ping Pong Animation, is in charge of the animation of season 2, like the previous season. For a long time, the July 2025 release window was the only information fandom had. However, recently, the release date of Dandadan Season 2 was revealed, showcasing that the fans will get to enjoy the anime in the first week only. Along with the release date, a new key visual has also been unveiled featuring the two protagonists of the anime.
When Will Dandadan Season 2 Release?
Dandadan Season 2 is scheduled to release on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at 12:26 AM JST. The first season was aired every Thursday during the “Super Animeism TURBO” slot on all 28 MBS/TBS stations. Apart from these 28 stations, the anime was also broadcast on AT-X, BS Nippon, and Animax. Dandadan Season 2 is also scheduled to return during the same time slot on all the mentioned broadcasting channels.
Apart from the release date of the first episode, fans worldwide will can experience the first three episodes on theatres (excluding Japan).

Dandadan Season 2 Release Date Was Announced Through A Different Manga Title
On April 3, 2025, an X (formerly Twitter) user, @SHIHEILIN, posted a picture on social media that showed 9 different manga titles with their latest volumes, with all of them going to be released on April 4, 2025. The picture had Chainsaw Man Volume 20, Dandadan Volume 19, Kindergarten Wars Volume 14, etc. One of those titles was FIRE BALL!, which happened to be the previous work of Yukinobu Tatsu, the creator of Dandadan. The manga cover of Volume 2 of FIRE BALL! had the information about Dandadan Season 2’s release date and the broadcast time.
What Is Happening In The Dandadan Universe?
The Dandadan universe has had some major announcements in the past week. Apart from the release date of Season 2 and Volume 19, the anime has created a new website, which has already gone live. Also, the manga has sold more than 10 million copies making it one of the most sold titles of the modern generation. Fuuga Yamashiro and Abel Gongora will direct the upcoming season.
Dandadan Season 1 voice actors Shion Wakayama, Natsuki Hanae, Ayane Sakura, Nana Mizuki, Kaito Ishikawa, and Mayumi Tanaka will be returning with their characters, respectively. Episode 11 and 12 of Dandadan Season 1 featured the beginning of the Serpo Arc, and Season 2 will begin with the continuation of the arc.
Evil Eye’s Voice Cast For Dandadan Season 2 Revealed
Dandadan Season 2 will feature several voice actors reprising their roles. Apart from them, the upcoming season will feature a new character named Evil Eye, who will be voiced by Mutsumi Tamura. Mutsuko Tamura has previously voiced Vegapunk (York) in One Piece and Clen in Clevatess. As per the character description, Evil Eye started to appear in Jin Enjoji’s new house and his dreams, which troubles Jin.
The official website of Dandadan also revealed an exclusive interview with Mutsumi Tamura. She was asked to describe the appeal of the work. She replied,
I'm interested in ghosts and the occult, but I hesitate to watch it because I'm scared, but while it depicts scary and sad scenes, it also has a lively, pop atmosphere, so it's very easy to watch and fun. Also, the battle scenes are really cool!
Next, she was asked to describe her enuthusiasm regarding the Evil Eye character. She answered,
The past scenes of The Evil Eye were very painful and sad. I looked at the children playing with envy and thought, ``I feel sorry for them, please let them out'' as I acted. I hope everyone feels the same way. I also hope that the gap between the sinister nature of the evil eye, which has turned into a monster, is working well.
