2025 kicked off with a blast of anime, with fan-favorite titles like Dragon Ball Daima, The Apothecary Diaries, Solo Leveling, etc., making a strong start to the year. With that momentum, anticipation is now building for what Spring 2025 has in store for them. As per the sources, fans can expect another exciting anime lineup. Here are the must-watch anime of Spring 2025.
1. LAZARUS

John Wick’s director, Chad Stahelski, and Cowboy Bebop’s director, Shinichiro Watanabe, will join hands to bring LAZARUS to the anime world. LAZARUS brings a spectacular yet refreshing plot set in the 2050s. The story will follow the protagonists who set out to find Dr. Skinner and force him to make an antidote for a miracle drug he created a few years back.
2. Witch Watch

Witch Watch sounds like something sinister, but in reality, it is the exact opposite of it. It is a rom-com anime involving ogres and witches in a never-seen avatar. Morihito Otogi is a descendant of the ogres, which makes him stronger than an average human. He is tasked with protecting his childhood friend Nico Wakatsuki, who recently became a witch. As her Familiar, Otogi does his best to protect her, with both having romantic feelings for each other.
3. One Piece

One Piece is arguably the most awaited anime on this list. Eiichiro Oda’s magnum opus took a break after airing episode 1122 and is scheduled to return after a six-month hiatus. It will continue with the Egghead Arc, where the Straw Hat Pirates met Dr. Vegapunk. Unknown to them, the World Government has sent two of its strongest members in pursuit of them. However, in these six months, Toei Animation aired the remastered version of Fishman Island arc.
4. Fire Force Season 3

Fire Force season 3 will return after four years. While the manga concluded, the anime has yet to reach its conclusion. Fire Force gained massive popularity following the dark and science fantasy genre. The upcoming season will be divided into two parts. As per the official site, Queen Bee’s “Gouka” has been chosen to be the official theme of the first part.
5. Wind Breaker Season 2

Like most of the anime on this list, Wind Breaker too is scheduled to release on April 4, 2025. Wind Breaker premiered in 2024, and soon after the season finale, its popularity paved the way for the second season. Season two will further explore the protagonist, Haruka Sakura, who is slowly changing into a rational human and trying to maintain peace, being a part of the Bofurin. The prideful fighter, who once looked for strong opponents, has earned the town’s trust after the change.
6. Yaiba: Samurai Legend

Yaiba is an anime from the early 1990s, created by Gosho Aoyama. Due to its popularity, WIT Studio decided to remake Gosho Aoyama’s masterpiece. The remake named Yaiba: Samurai Legend follows the story of Yaiba Kurogane, a samurai boy who trains to become a legendary samurai. Throughout his journey, he met several people who inspired and trained him to pursue the path of a samurai. Being a legendary samurai, he also has to fight powerful foes who wish to terrorize the planet.
7. My Hero Academia: Vigilantes

My Hero Academia manga concludes in August 2025, with the anime left with only the final season. However, the MHA community will experience double the fun since Studio Bones announced that they will be animating a spin-off of the original series titled My Hero Academia: Vigilantes. It is a prequel to the original series taking place five years before it. The main protagonist is Koichi Haimawari, who joins the vigilante group of Knuckleduster, along with Kazuho Hane, to become an unlicensed hero.
8. Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX

- Studio: Khara, Sunrise
Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX is the upcoming anime of the Gundam franchise. Unlike the other anime of the franchise, it follows an alternate Universal Century timeline. Instead of Amuro Ray, it is Char Aznable who stole the RX-78-2 White Gundam and renamed it “Red Gundam.”
9. Guilty Gear Strive: Dual Rulers

Guilty Gear Strive: Dual Rulers is scheduled to release on April 5, 2025 and will have only 8 episodes. It follows the story of Sin Kiske and a mysterious girl. Initially, the plot begins years earlier than the original timeline. The modern science era excelled thanks to the discovery of a new energy source known as magic. However, humans created forbidden biological weapons called Gears, which ultimately led to a rebellion against their creators. While the humans emerged victorious, the pain and sorrow of the incident remained fresh after several years.
The protagonist, Sin Kiske, has human and Gear blood running through his veins. His father, Ky, is a human, while his mother, Dizzy, is a Gear, and their marriage broke a major taboo, which is the union between a Gear and a human. While everything is going smoothly, a mysterious girl who despises the Gears appears. Guilty Gear Strive: Dual Rulers explores how the mysterious girl and Sin Kiske change the fate of the world.
10. The Dinner Table Detective

The Dinner Table Detective created by Tokuya Higashigawa, has two volumes. The manga has been previously adapted into a live-action series. The story revolves around Reiko, a rich Zaibatsu heiress who wants to be a detective. However, her superior, Kazamatsuri, is an incompetent detective who fails to make any deductions regarding crime.
One day, when her butler retires, she hires Kageyama, who amazes Reiko through his detective skills. As the story progresses, Kageyama helps Reiko solve crimes and helps her understand why they were committed in the first place.
11. Devil May Cry

- Release Date: April 3, 2025
- Studio: Studio Mir
Adi Shankar’s Devil May Cry is coming as an adult animated urban fantasy action series. It is based on CAPCOM’s popular video game franchise of the same name and will be produced by Studio Mir and Adi Shankar Animation. Limp Bizkit’s “Rollin” will be the opening theme of the series.
Devil May Cry animated series will focus on Dante’s journey as a Demon Hunter. He will face several foes during his journey, and the fans who are used to controlling him in video games will get to see how he progresses on his own.
