Chainsaw Man chapter 204 has been released, and it came with a major revelation. For the past few chapters, fans have been repeatedly watching the Fakesaw Man in action. The last couple of chapters saw him picking a fight against the Chainsaw Man, i.e., Denji. Denji was forced to transform into the Chainsaw Man, while the Fakesaw Man joined with other humans to become a hybrid.
However, chapter 204 saw the protagonist requesting the Fakesaw Man to let go of the civilians and fight him fairly. Unfortunately, he did not listen, and the two clashed while Yoru went to take on the Falling Devil. After the battle, Chainsaw Man came out victorious by slicing the devil in half and saving the trapped civilians. The twist came afterward as another devil was hiding behind the alias of the Fakesaw Man, who came out after the defeat.
Chainsaw Man Chapter 204 Introduces The Fire Devil
After Denji defeated the Fakesaw Man, the Fire Devil emerged from the corpse. It is the first time the Fire Devil has descended on Earth, and the protagonist is also a bit shocked. His face was like a fire pit with tons of twigs sticking out from his neck region, and his entire face covered in flames. Only his mouth, nose, and eyes were visible, with both of his eyes on the left side. He was kind enough to introduce himself to Denji before proceeding further.
When Denji asks whether he came to fight him, the Fire Devil replies no and says that he merely had a question for the hero. The question seemed a bit strange since it was nothing apocalypse or devil-related. Rather, he asked Denji whether he remembered the face of the person he had just slaughtered, since he was hiding within him.
How Might The Fire Devil Affect The Plot?
Lately, fans have been introduced to several devils, and the Fire Devil is the latest one to join the list. It is known that the fear factor makes a devil grow in power, and with so much destruction, especially people burning and buildings getting set on fire, the fear of fire has gradually increased. It shows that the Fire Devil is quite potent, and whichever side he chooses to aid will gain a massive boost.
As far as his conversation with Denji went, he did not seem like someone who thrives on destruction and war, and he seemed sensible. But at the end of the day, it is still a devil, so nothing can be said for sure. The next chapter will feature whether Denji recognizes the corpse, and based on it, the Fire Devil might take action.
