With Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 soon set to premiere in the Winter 2026 anime season, the series is about to introduce several new characters in the Culling Game Arc. One of these characters is going to be the Jujutsu Sorcerer dubbed the “God of Lightning,” Hajime Kashimo.
Hajime Kashimo is going to have a huge role to play in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3, featuring in one of the biggest fights in the upcoming anime season. While this will be the character’s first appearance in the anime, did you know that he already has a special connection with Ryomen Sukuna and Kenjaku?
SPOILERS AHEAD!
Kashimo, Sukuna, and Kenjaku are connected through Binding Vows in Jujutsu Kaisen

Similar to Ryomen Sukuna and Kenjaku, Hajime Kashimo is also a Jujutsu Sorcerer from the past. While Sukuna and Kenjaku are from the Heian Era, Hajime Kashimo is from the Edo Period. This means that Kashimo is from an era 400 years in the past, and Sukuna and Kenjaku are from an era around 1000 years in the past. So, does that mean being from the past is their only connection?
No, as fans must know, Kenjaku is a Jujutsu Sorcerer who has remained alive since the Heian Era by transferring his brain into different people over centuries. As such, despite being from the Heian Era, he has not only met Sukuna and Kashimo in the past but also made Binding Vows with them.
What were Kenjaku’s Binding Vows with Kashimo and Sukuna?
Kenjaku had created Binding Vows with both Hajime Kashimo and Ryomen Sukuna to turn them into cursed objects and incarnate them in the future.
As per the events revealed in Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 187, Hajime Kashimo loved to fight strong opponents. Unfortunately, Kashimo was so strong that his opponents bored him. So, when Kenjaku told him that Ryomen Sukuna was the strongest sorcerer he ever met, Kashimo made a deal with Kenjaku.
He agreed to be turned into a cursed object and incarnate in a new body 400 years down the line on one condition, that he gets to fight Ryomen Sukuna.
Similarly, Kenjaku had also created a Binding Vow with Sukuna to split his soul into twenty cursed objects after his death and reincarnate him in the future.
As such, Hajime Kashimo and Ryomen Sukuna are connected to each other through their deals struck with Kenjaku eons ago.
