JJK Modulo is one of the latest manga series that has fans expecting a great deal from it. As the name suggests, it is the sequel to Gege Akutami’s masterpiece, Jujutsu Kaisen. It takes place 62 years after the all-out war against Ryomen Sukuna. The story follows Yuta Okkotsu and Maki Zen’in’s grandchildren, Tsurugi and Yuka Okkotsu.
The manga is created by Gege Akutami and illustrated by Yuji Iwasaki. Currently, there are only seven chapters of the manga. New chapters are released every Sunday, and Chapter 8 is scheduled to release on Sunday, October 26. However, before its official release, the spoilers of the chapter were released online. JJK Modulo Chapter 8 will focus on Maru and Cross’s backstory.
JJK Modulo Chapter 8 Dives Into Simurian Twins Past
JJk Modulo Chapter 8, titled “The Three Heavenly Cursed Gods,” spoilers featured the Simurian Twins’ past as children. The chapter started with a Simurian adult named Doura talking with an elder member in the middle of ruins. Then he trained Maru and Cross, and crushed them almost instantly. After training, Doura took them near a mountain, where the Simurians were building a canal. They are a poor race and barely have anything to eat.
Moreover, due to the landscape, they had to take a detour to transport goods from Deskunte to Shama. As a result, they were creating a canal in the middle of the country, making it a straight journey rather than a detour. The project began a long time ago. However, it was halted because the Deskunte workers were attacked by the Karyans (sacred creature). The land originally belonged to the Karyans. While Cross questioned the adult about working for the Deskunte, Doura answered that they were working for the Lumer. Cross continued his question regarding why they had to follow them. However, Doura mentioned that it was for coexistence.
The canal was a way of coexistence between Lumer and Deskunte, since the more people get connected, the more they become familiarized with coexistence. It is a way to establish peace and maintain harmony. For the next few pages, the building of the canal was featured. After much hard work, the canal was finally completed. They even planted trees and made the shore look beautiful. A decade has passed since then, and adult Maru and Cross were seen experiencing ships sailing on the canal, in the company of Doura and Jabaloma.

What to expect from JJK Modulo?
JJK Modulo is slowly getting into the core of the plot. Chapter 7 ended with a heartfelt conversation between Cross and Yuka Okkotsu, where they are trying to uphold coexistence. Even though the Simurians and humans got off to a rough start, they believe it will be fruitful in the future.
The current chapter focuses on Maru and Cross’s past. It shows that their struggle will play a big part in creating coexistence. Everyone has their own struggle, but to overcome it is the real test. The Okkotsu twins from the human side and Maru-Cross from the Simurian side will likely become the face of a healthy relationship. This will happen amidst all the monstrosities that are yet to occur.
