Over its multiple chapters, Jujutsu Kaisen has shared the cursed techniques as a reflection of ideologies rather than just simple combat tools, which is something that has helped JJK Modulo’s breakdown of Dabura’s cursed technique. In the series, the character of Dabura has been positioned at a level far more unsettling than the like of monsters like Gojo or Sukuna.

As compared to the past, Dabura’s sorcery techniques are almost alien to human sorcerers. His course tenquies feel almost inhuman, something that is not compatible with how Earth-born jujutsu users understand cursed energy. According to the recent developments in JJK Modulo manga, Dabura is shown possessing two cursed techniques. Let’s check them out.

Technique 1: Censored

The first technique under Dabura’s arsenal is shown as an unknown technique, which is censored by the manga chapters, which is because the pronunciation of the technique is mostly alien to humans, just like Dabura’s character. Known to be an exclusive technique, which the character inherited being a part of the Deskuntee clan, the powers manifest killing intent with actual physical mass. According to the storyline, this is a highly complex technique that cannot be replicated, learned, or even fully comprehended by human sorcerers.

What is special about this censored technique is that it does not rely on cursed energy flow. Dabura’s own hostility itself is used to activate this technique, making opponents feel crushing pressure before they even move to attack. According to the storyline, the attack, once launched, is inevitable to counter. There is no clear technique to dodge it, no curse technique to counter it, which makes it highly dangerous.

Technique 2: Light

Dabura’s second cursed technique, Light, is on the other spectrum of the previous technique. This technique allows Dabura to manipulate light to reveal concealed targets, exposing sorcerers hiding within shadows, barriers, or distorted spaces. JJK Modulo, being a series where stealth, misdirection, and shadow-based techniques are key components for every other sorcerer, Light becomes an effective countermeasure.

Using Light, Dabura can reveal all ambush tactics and forces reality to acknowledge what really exists in the world, even if the sorcerer uses a cursed technique to hide it. While Dabura’s censored technique represents the hidden intent of a character that cannot be brought in front of the world, Light removes ambiguity. One crushes opponents before combat begins. The other ensures there is nowhere left to run.
