Horror fans, get ready for a spiral into terror! FANGORIA is teaming up with Through the Lens Entertainment (TTLE) to bring “accurate manga adaptations” to the screen. Here’s the scoop:
More Than Junji Ito Uzumaki Anime
The duo aims to “redefine the horror and manga experience” with Live-action films that’ll have you sleeping with the lights on. First up: Three spine-chillers from the master of manga horror, Junji Ito. We’re talking Bloodsucking Darkness, The Mystery of the Haunted House Part 1, and Part 2.
First Uzumaki Adult Swim Collaboration & Now This
These adaptations are set to follow in the terrifying footsteps of Uzumaki Anime. Prepare for nightmares! TTLE’s head honcho, Aditya Chand is stoked: “Working with a visionary manga creator like Junji, alongside a cornerstone platform of horror culture with FANGORIA, pushes the boundaries of what east-west collaboration can achieve in the modern age.”
Armen Aghaeian from FANGORIA Studios adds: “Everyone screams in the same language.” Truer words were never spoken! In a plot twist, Jay Van Hoy (the brains behind The Lighthouse and The Witch) is joining TTLE as Chief Producing Officer. His mission? Nurture new talent and shake up indie film production.

The production team is a who’s who of horror, including Junji Ito himself, Armen Aghaeian, Tara Ansley, Abhi Goel, Yasu Kutami, Tsubasa Yamaguchi, Aditya Chand, and Jay Van Hoy. Carlos Aguirre, Phil Wurtzel, and Kevin Nicklaus are executive producing. Talk about a dream team!
