The Malediction has been a long-standing topic of debate in Kagurabachi and has led to several mysteries surrounding it. Kagurabachi chapter 83 features the battle between Seiichi Samura and Chihiro Rokuhira. The former has set out on a path of no return, as he intends to sever the contracts of the Enchanted Blade with their users and kill himself and the Sword Master to prevent the occurrence of another Malediction.
However, Chihiro is unwilling to let Seiichi die and suggests a way that can permanently stop Malediction while keeping Tobimune’s wielder alive. The latter was not ready to give up on his plan, and it was during that time that the protagonist revealed a sure-hit method of preventing Malediction.
What Was Chihiro Rokuhira’s Initial Plan For Preventing The Malediction?
While Seiichi Samura is hell-bent on sacrificing his and the Sword Master’s lives to prevent the Malediction, Chihiro Rokuhira suggested a new way without anyone losing their lives. He said that destroying the Shinuchi would do the trick, as it would sever the eternal contracts with the Enchanted Blade users and stop the Malediction from happening again.
It is the source of the eternal contracts, and by destroying it, things would return to normal as the contracts would be nullified. Unfortunately, Samura was not satisfied with the answer as the Shinuchi or the Enchanted Blades are made with Datenseki, which makes their properties beyond human understanding, and destroying them is next to impossible. However, it was then that the protagonist suggested the true purpose of his Enchanted Blade, Enten.
Enten Is The Key To Preventing The Malediction
Kagurabachi Chapter 83, titled “The Enten,” brought up a flashback of Chihiro, where he was conversing with Shiba. It was then that Shiba revealed that Kunishige Rokuhiro somewhat regretted creating the Enchanted Blades and tried to destroy them, but failed. However, after 15 years of struggle and bearing the weight of millions of lives, he created the Enten, along with Chihiro. The Enten was specifically made for Chihiro, and its purpose was to destroy the Enchanted Blades. While there were six Enchanted Blades, only Enten had the ability to destroy them.
While Kunishige crafted the first six Enchanted Blades alone, the seventh one was created with Chihiro’s help. It was the reason why Chihiro could destroy the Cloud Gouger. It is true that the wielder’s abilities help in bringing out the true abilities of the sword, and even if Sojo was not as elite as Samura, he could hold his ground with the Cloud Gouger. Even after that, the protagonist is able to defeat him and destroy the Enchanted Blade. With this new revelation, things might have become a bit complicated. The Enten is the key to preventing Malediction, but it could also put the Hishaku on Chihiro’s tail and hunt him for his sword.
