An anime adaptation for Kikaijikake no Marie (Mechanical Marie) was announced on Hakusenshaโ€™s Lala Magazine Official X (formerly Twitter) account on August 5, 2024. The series is an adaptation based on original Japanese manga by Aki Akimoto published from June 24, 2020, to May 24, 2023, in Lala Magazine, covering the story in a total of 6 volumes. However, information regarding the anime‘s cast, staff & release date is yet to be revealed.

The author of the manga series also celebrated and shared the news on his official X account along with 2 new illustrations. The first volume of Akimoto’s manga, Mairimashita to Iwasetai(I Want You to Say You Lose) released today including a spinoff of Kikaijikake no Marie(Mechanical Marie).

Arthur Louis, a wealthy, handsome, and successful man can’t help but doubt those around him. He doesn’t trust humans due to their greedy nature and asks for a robot maid. However, his butler can’t find such a robot because of technological limitations and finds the next best solution.

A former martial artist known for her poker face, Marie Evans takes on the odd job, to work like a robot maid due to her excessive debt. However, during the series, Marie is touched by Arthur’s personality and thoughtfulness towards her. The story thus follows the life of a wealthy heir and his human maid pretending to be a robot.
