There are some major revelations, and Eiichiro Oda is connecting the dots in his magnum opus. One Piece Chapter 1164 is likely to be a landmark chapter. It bridges the gap between what happened in God Valley and how it shaped the present.
Kuma Becomes the Unexpected Savior of Rocks’ Family
The Egghead arc established Bartholomew Kuma as one of the most selfless and helpful characters in One Piece. One Piece Chapter 1164 spoilers proved it again. Imu ordered Demon Rocks D. Xebec to hunt down his wife, Eris, and son, Teach, and kill them, along with everyone present on the God Valley island. With Xebec fearing that he will be the one to kill his family, Bartholomew Kuma arrives as a savior. At the nick of time, Kuma uses his Paw-Paw Devil Fruit on Eris and Teach to send them somewhere far from the island. It looks like whenever Eiichiro Oda is in a dilemma, he brings Kuma to save him from a situation!
Rocks D. Xebec Transforms Into A Demon
After Imu used Domi Reversi on Rocks D. Xebec, the latter thought that Davy Jones was the former King of the World. Amidst the thought, the pirate fully transforms into a demon. Even though he tried to fight it off, but was unsuccessful. The first thing he did as a demon was to fight Big Mom and Kaido, defeating them almost instantly. With no way out, Rocks musters whatever little conscience he had left and asks Monkey D. Garp and Gol D. Roger to kill him. It was his way to save his family. Thus began the deadly battle between the Future Hero of the Marines and Future Pirate King vs. the Demon Pirate.
