Kurapika is one of the lead protagonists in Yoshihiro Togashi’s Hunter x Hunter. His absence in the Chimera Ant Arc shines in the later parts of the manga series, a.k.a, The Succession War Arc. Similar to Yorknew City, the Kurta Clan member is now a bodyguard to Woble Hui Guo Rou, he is on the search for the highly-esteemed Scarlet Eyes.
Hunter x Hunter Succession War Arc follows a battle royale fight between the fourteen princes of the Kakin Empire. Held in Black Whale 1, Kurapika seeks the Scarlet Eyes from Tserriednich Hui Guo Rou, the psychopathic prince who has collected several pairs of Scarlet Eyes. Having a vested interest in this, Kurapika aims to achieve his goal amidst the death match held within the family.
Kurapika is currently in a predicament dealing with the most influential figures of the Kakin Empire. These are the most notable ones that the Chain User has to look out for:
Prince Benjamin Hui Guo Rou
Widely regarded as the strongest member of the Kakin Empire, Benjamin Hui Guo Rou has a strong disdain toward his siblings. He is ready to dispose of his siblings for his political goals, such as uniting the world via the Kakin Empire.
Prince Tserriednich Hui Guo Rou
Tserriednich Hui Guo Rou is a sociopathic prince of the Kakin Empire, who has also had ties with the mafia. Possessing a staunch rivalry with the aforementioned Prince Benjamin, his desire to kill him is unexplainable. His serial killing past prompted him to collect several parts of the human body including the Scarlet Eyes, which Kurapika seeks to obtain. Due to his aspirations, the Chain User will have to comb through adversity.
Prince Halkenburg Hui Guo Rou
Halkenburg Hui Guo Rou is a complete antithesis to his siblings. Whilst the others possess ruthless ambitions, Halkenburg does not. In fact, Kurapika’s observations suggest that he is a pacifist, who wishes to stray far from violent acts. The Chain User believed in seeking the Scarlet Eyes by befriending Halkenburg and moving up the ranks.
Tubeppa Hui Guo Rou
Much like Prince Halkenburg, Tubeppa Hui Guo Rou disapproves of her siblings’ dreadful aspirations. Her view on winning the Succession War is unlike any member of the Kakin Empire. Although she desires to get rid of her siblings, her background as a scientist allows her to employ her strategy in a more intelligent way, rather than violence.
Zhang Lei Hui Guo Rou
Similar to Tubeppa, Zhang Lei is a calculative member of the Kakin Empire. Alongside Tubeppa and Halkenburg, Zhang is the third sibling that Kurapika could get in contact with for his Scarlet Eyes.
Hunter x Hunter Chapter 403 Release Date
