Netflixโs One Piece live-action changed the course of the live-action genre for anime and video games. Previously, most of Netflixโs ventures into this genre resulted in disasters. The One Piece fandom was skeptical regarding the live adaptation of Eiichiro Odaโs magnum opus. However, once it aired, it became a massive hit, with people loving the entire cast and crew of the show.
Soon after season one concluded, Netflix renewed the show for a second season. There was a lot of speculation regarding the season’s casting. Earlier, Sir Crocodile and Dr. Kurehaโs casting was announced along with the original cast. Now, six more characters have been announced, with one of them being Monkey D. Dragon.

One Piece Live-Action Casts New Faces
Till now, Netflix has confirmed several characters for One Piece season 2. These characters include Joe Manganiello as Sir Crocodile, Sendhil Ramamurthy as Nefertari Cobra, Katey Sagal as Dr. Kureha, etc. However, the latest announcement has left the fans overjoyed. Netflix confirmed the cast of Monkey D. Dragon. Rigo Sanchez will take up the role of Dragon, the leader of the Revolutionary Army.
Apart from Dragon, few other casts have also been confirmed by Netflix. They are as follows:

One Piece Live-Action Season 2 Expectations
The casting of Netflixโs One Piece Live Action is going well, with the fans getting more pumped with each name. As far as the introduction of new characters goes, fans are expecting that season 2 will feature three arcs; the Loguetown arc, then the Drum Island arc, and finally, the Alabasta arc. The entire cast of Drum Island has been decided, with Chopper being the only one remaining. Then there is Tashigi and Smoker, who have also been confirmed.
The latest announcement confirmed the Monkey D. Dragon cast, making sure that the live adaptation does not miss Dragonโs small cameo. Finally, there is the Baroque Worksโ cast and the Nefertari family cast. However, there are still a few characters missing, like Portgas D. Ace and Marshall D. Teach. Everything is going smoothly for the live adaptation, with Eiichiro Oda personally overseeing everything.
