One Piece live-action Season 1 released on August 31, 2023, and broke the curse of there not being any good anime live adaptations. However, soon after its release, news about Season 2 being under development began circulating on the internet, but there was no confirmation about its release date.

Fortunately, in 2025, the confirmation came, and the fans are eagerly looking forward to 2026. With joy and laughter in the One Piece fandom, Netflix revealed the key visual of two of the debutants in the upcoming season. With several debuts scheduled for Netflixโ€™s One Piece Season 2, the key visual revealed Laboon and Crocus’ first look, and the fans could barely hold their excitement.

The Island Whale Laboon and Doctor Crocus Finally Appear in Netflixโ€™s One Piece

One Piece Live Action Laboon Whale

Netflix revealed Laboonโ€™s key visual ahead of the release of One Piece Season 2. The showrunners have done a commendable job with a live-action version of the Island Whale. The scars on Laboonโ€™s face are exactly like the anime version, with the same dark eyes and visible teeth. Laboonโ€™s key visual features him opening his mouth with the Going Merry in front of him.

The width of the mouth is massive, and it could easily fit multiple Going Merry at once. Laboon will be a crucial character in Season 2 since the whale will also reveal a new world to the Straw Hats and bring one of the members of Gol D. Rogerโ€™s crew, Crocus, onscreen.

Clive Russel as Crocus also looks magnificent, with glasses, white hair, grey shorts, and a pink beach shirt. The interior of his cabin also looks well-decorated, with pictures, a sofa, tables, etc. Also, the creature is the first living being the protagonists will encounter after reaching the Grandline.

Tony Tony Chopper has already passed the exam, and now Laboon is also well-received by his peers. Fans praised how accurate the whale looks, and the detailing of his caretaker, Crocus.
