New Rooster Fighter Anime Announced at SDCC 2024

Viz Media officially announced The Rooster Fighter anime at the San Diego Comic-Con 2024 in collaboration with Hero’s Inc. The announcement followed a teaser trailer, a visual, and a message from the creator. The anime will be available on the Adult Swim platform, while other streaming platforms will be announced later.

Rooster Fighter is an original manga by Author Shuu Sakuratani (Story & Art) that has been serialized in Hero’s Inc.’s Comiplex manga Site since December 18, 2020. The manga is published in English by Viz Media.

Rooster Fighter Creator’s Reaction

Rooster Fighter’s original creator, Skuu Sakuratani also reacted to this announcement.

“Rooster Fighter” is finally being made into an anime! Ever since becoming a manga artist, my biggest goal was to have my work adapted into an anime. So, I can’t tell you how happy I am to see my dream come true!

Rooster Fighter Art Competition

To enter the contest, you must follow Rooster Fighter Japanese Official X, and post your drawings or photos inspired by Rooster Fighter with your usernames and a hashtag, #ROOSTERFIGHTER_ART for a chance to be featured in the anime or manga.

The contest starts Friday, July 26, 2024, and will end on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at 23:59 (Japan time/ JST).

What Rooster Fighter Anime is about? (Plot)

Mutants started to appear in Japan 3 years ago, while some were harmless and helpful, others were troublesome. Born from humans experiencing extreme emotional distress or unresolved trauma, these mutant demons started to cause chaos as they became more intelligent.

Keiji, a rooster travels through Japanese cities, battling these mutants. His mission is to find and defeat the killer of his sister, “The White Demon”.
