Awakening in an apartment with a black orb named “Gantz,” Kei and Katou are informed they must eliminate peculiar creatures while being provided with advanced suits and weaponry. The mission proves more perilous than anticipated. Kei manages to survive and earns points from Gantz as a reward.

Despite being able to resume his routine Kei remains on call for life-threatening assignments, at Gantz’s discretion.
