After six month hiatus, One Piece will return with Egghead Part 2 on April 5, 2025. Episode 1122, which was released on October 12, 2024, was the last time when the fandom got to experience the futuristic island of Egghead. During these six months, the anime broadcasted a remastered version of the Fishman Island arc.
Previously, a promotional video was released to commemorate the return of the anime. However, the latest announcement features a new trailer along with the Opening Theme Song of Egghead Part 2. The Opening Theme Song is titled “ANGEL & DEVIL” and is sung by GRe4N BOYZ.
When Will Egghead Part 2 Begin Broadcast?
Egghead Part 2 will begin its broadcast with episode 1123 on April 5, 2025. Fuji TV will feature the anime on its “Saturday Premium” slot, which starts from 9:00 PM (JST). One Piece Episode 1124 will premiere on Sunday, April 6, 2025, on Fuji TV at 11:15 PM (JST). From next week onwards, the episodes will be broadcast on Sunday’s schedule. Fans worldwide can stream the episodes on Crunchyroll and Netflix.
GRe4N BOYZ Is In Charge Of The Opening Theme Song
The latest announcement about One Piece revealed that the GRe4N BOYZ has performed the Opening Theme Song for Egghead Part 2. They have previously sand for The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten, A Flying Princess and a Secret Island, Shinkalion Change the World, etc. GRe4N BOYZ has been active since 2002 and has won several awards, including the Best Album Award 2009, Best Ringtone Award 2008, New Artist of the Year 2007, etc.
Along with the latest announcement, the band also shared their thoughts regarding One Piece Egghead Part 2.
“Everyone!!!! Have you seen it?! Have you witnessed it?! The continuation of that story is restarting! I feel both happy and pressured to have been entrusted with such a memorable moment. However, there are people who I want to be happy there. There is a continuation of the exciting days. I hope that this song, which I put all my feelings into, will reach all the lives that are to be happy!!! Now, let’s all go on an adventure together and see where the story goes next!!!”
What Will Happen In Egghead Part 2?
Egghead Part 2 will feature the Straw Hats trying to escape the futuristic island amidst the attack from the Marines. As shown in the trailer, Admiral Kizaru will launch an attack on the newly appointed Yonko crew, and Monkey D. Luffy will face him. Bartholomew Kuma, the Five Elders, Jewelry Bonney, etc., were all featured in the trailer. A full-on showdown is about to begin on April 5, 2025.
Before the break, we saw some intense fights, including Monkey D. Garp vs. Kuzan, Rob Lucci vs. Luffy, Law vs. Blackbeard, etc., and all of them were animated beautifully, especially the former one. Several new characters were also introduced along with the different variants of Dr. Vegapunk and the revelation of Monkey D. Luffy’s Devil Fruit, the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika.
