Orb: On the Movements of the Earth anime official website released the main trailer for the series on Thursday. The TV anime’s PV reveals premiere on NHK General TV on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 11:45 pm JST. Furthermore, the first 2 episodes will be broadcast consecutively. After the broadcast, each episode will stream on Netflix and ABEMA(free).
The main trailer features additional cast members and the opening theme song “Kaiju” by Sakanaction and the ending theme song “Aporia” by Yorushika.
Uoto’s Orb: On the Movements of the Earth anime is adapted from the manga of the same name. This historical-themed manga started serialization in Big Comic Spirits from Sep 14, 2020, to Apr 18, 2022, and it is collected in 8 volumes covering 62 chapters.

Orb: On the Movements of the Earth Anime Story
The series follows the story of child prodigy, Rafal. Set in 15th-century Poland, where heretics are burned alive for going against the order of the church, Rafal started as a student of theology and believed in the theory that everything orbits around Earth. But he is also an ardent believer that reason should be valued above all. Rafal’s encounter with a strange man later led him to believe in the heliocentric theory.
Now it’s a fight to set the world right and spread the truth about the heresy. Will Rafal prove the heliocetric theory or die fighting the Inquisition?
