After One Piece Chapter 1158’s cover story gave rise to multiple fan theories about Gecko Moria being a member of the Kozuki Clan, One Piece Chapter 1159 spoilers revealed the true lineage of Rocks D. Xebec. Since the beginning of Harald’s backstory, the focus has mainly been shifted towards Rocks D. Xebec, who was a major figure during the incident at God Valley. Eiichiro Oda was slowly making everything clear to the fans about his uprising. However, the recent spoilers brought forward a major revelation about Rocks D. Xebec belonging to the Davy Clan.

Rocks D. Xebec’s Real Name Is Taken From His Ancestor

Rocks D. Xebec’s real name is Davy D. Xebec, and he belongs to the Davy Clan, who lived in secrecy. He also revealed that his ancestor is Davy D. Jones, popularly known as Davy Jones in the One Piece lore. On top of that, his homeland is revealed to be God Valley, where his wife and son (Blackbeard) are residing. While it all seems a major revelation, Eiichiro Oda somewhat gave hints about him having a connection with Davy D. Jones. Rocks recruited the strongest of the pirates of his generation through Davy Back Fights, a system named after his ancestor.

At this point, it is still speculation, but he may have wanted to showcase his clan to the world in the most subtle ways, and it may have been a reason why Imu was unable to do anything to him, even though he was in Imu’s chamber and within their grasp. Along with Rocks D. Xebec’s lineage revelation, the mystery about Davy Jones might also start to surface.

Rocks D. Xebec’s True Identity Opens The Path For Multiple Theories

Rocks D. Xebec and Blackbeard

With Rocks D. Xebec’s true identity revealed, fans cannot help but think about the numerous theories that will start to surface. Firstly, if Rocks is Davy D. Xebec, it could be that Blackbeard’s true name is Davy D. Teach. It may be why both Rocks and Blackbeard do not aim to be the King of Pirates, but the King of the World, for which the Davy Clan is living in secrecy. Secondly, Rocks most likely never told his true intention to his crewmates, but Blackbeard did, which is why they willingly decided to join him in his quest.

There is also the theory that Rocks resides within Blackbeard’s body, since the latter is believed to have multiple personalities. It was mentioned that Blackbeard never sleeps, which potentially signals his dual personality taking control of his body at different times. If true, it could be another reason why Blackbeard was able to pursue his crewmates so easily, since it may have been Rocks who did the explaining.

Thirdly, Davy Clan could be the “D” Clan that the World Government fears. Since the Davy Clan lives in secrecy, no one would know about them, except for the initial, which is a part of their members’ names. Lastly, it could be that God Valley was never intended to be destroyed, but once they found out that it was the homeland of Rocks D. Xebec, and could be where the Davy Clan was hiding, they decided to wipe it off the map and blame it on the pirates. After One Piece Chapter 1159 spoilers, fans will eagerly look forward to the upcoming chapters to see whether Eiichiro Oda decides to make any of the theories come true.
