Dan Da Dan Season 2 Episode 4 was released on July 24, 2025, which essentially marked the end of the Cursed House arc. The episode began with Momo Ayase trying to stop the volcano with the Great Serpent Lord’s corpse. Even though she knew her method was foolproof, the Kito family was not convinced and tried to ruin her plan in every way possible. Seiko Ayase’s student, Manjiro, came to Momo’s aid against the Kito family.
The situation worsened with the arrival of the Evil Eye. Momo and Naki Kito tried to fend off the antagonist, but their efforts were in vain. It was at that moment that Seiko Ayase and Taro arrived in a UFO driven by Chiquitita, and the former announced “Tokami Emitame” to Manjiro. While many were confused about what it meant, it stole the spotlight of the episode since it was a spell to seal the Evil Eye.
Tokami Emitame Put The Evil Eye To Rest
Upon announcing Tokami Emitame, Seiko Ayase jumped on the battlefield and clashed with the Evil Eye. Both of them were evenly matched, with Seiko landing a few hits. Suddenly, Momo’s grandma called for Taro, and within the blink of an eye, Taro started to dash towards the antagonist. Seiko has multiple abilities up her sleeve, with one of them being the talisman at the Ayase residence. They have a few Japanese phrases with the picture of Monk Ryougen, and it is believed to be a form of defence against evil spirits and helps in sealing them by casting mystical barriers.
Thinking that Taro is going for an open attack, Evil Eye punched through his anatomical body, breaking it into multiple pieces. However, the best part was left for the last. As the pieces were flying in the air, the Evil Eye noticed one of the pieces had a talisman, signalling it was all an act to seal him by casting Seiko’s mystical barriers. Unfortunately, there were no mystical barriers; instead, Taro himself was the barrier. Since Taro could disassemble and reassemble at will, the pieces began to become attached to the Evil Eye-possessed Jiji.
Soon, the entire body was covered by Taro, marking the success of the spell. In any other situation, the antagonist could have broken through Taro, but Seiko’s sealing spells are quite powerful, as seen in the past when she held off Granny Turbo with ease. So, there was no way out for him, but the negative side to the spell was that Taro’s inner organs were left out and had to be put in a plastic bag.
Seiko Ayase Has Multiple Abilities Up Her Sleeve
Apart from the talisman, Seiko Ayase has several other abilities that she uses to gain information about Yokai, or if the situation calls for it, fight them. One of her abilities included casting powerful mystic barriers by borrowing power from the gods. These barriers can be used to exorcise anyone cursed by evil spirits or evil spirits themselves. The procedure also involves using her charm nails and talisman.
Seiko also has spiritual awareness, allowing her to see spirits, divination, which allows her to know information about others using a crystal ball, and she can borrow power from the gods residing within a certain region. Momo Ayase’s grandma has the ability to alter reality through the Power of Words. Upon saying something, she harnesses its powers, like using the word “Nessie” to increase her physical prowess. She has a common set of weapons, like a baseball bat, a harisen, charm nails, spirit medium robes, a talisman, etc. Seiko Ayase’s weaponry and knowledge make her one of the most potent characters in Dan Da Dan.
