One of the biggest names in digital manga publication, Shonen Jump+, celebrated its 10th anniversary on 22nd September 2024. To commemorate the 10th anniversary of its launch, the publication announced 10 major projects including the biggest manga award ever – Shonen Jump+ 10th Anniversary Manga Award, with a massive 10 million Yen in prize money.

The award’s mission is to find and support future manga artists, who will lead the magazine for the next 10 years. A panel of 10 popular manga artists representing Shonen Jump+ will act as judges and award the best works with prizes in their respective categories. Also, the special category awards will be named after the judges.

Things to Watch Out Before Submitting Your Work for the Manga Award

  • Each person can submit up to five works and submission through multiple channels is not permitted.
  • If two or more people or a group are submitting collaborative work, you must appoint a representative.
  • If your work has already been published on commercial platforms like magazines, websites, or comics, it will not be considered for the selection.

The entries will be accepted in three ways:

The submissions started on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, and the timer will stop on Friday, January 31, 2025, at 23:59.

Shone Jump+ launched its first issue on 22nd September 2014 and celebrated its 10th anniversary on 22nd September 2024. The commemorative movie showcases popular serialized works like SPY x FAMILY, Kaiju No. 8, Chainsaw Man, Dandadan, and more from the past decade.

Prize Money Distribution

  • Grand Prize winner: 3 Million Yen
  • Teacher category awards: 1 Million each (10 in total)
  • Honorable mention: 300,000 Yen
  • Teen award: 200,000 Yen (limited to teenage manga artist)
