Sword of the Demon Hunter: Kijin Gentosho, is an upcoming anime that blends action, historical fantasy, and supernatural elements. Originally created by Motoโo Nakanishi, the story was first published online between January 2013 and May 2016. Later, it was serialized by Futabasha and collected in 14 volumes.
The anime adaptation of Sword of the Demon Hunter was first announced on September 9, 2021. After almost four years, the anime will premiere on March 31, 2025. Even though the official trailer of the anime had been released earlier, another trailer was unveiled announcing that the fans would be treated with something more at the premiere.
Sword of the Demon Hunter‘s Two New Announcements
The second Promotional Video of Sword of the Demon Hunter features Jinta, Suzune, and Shirayuki getting involved in a twisted and cruel fate due to a demon speaking about the future. It also showcased several questions like why the demon approached Suzune and what are Shirayukiโs true intentions.
Along with a new TV anime trailer, Sword of the Demon Hunter episode 1 will be an hour-long special. It will be crucial to the plot since the first few episodes are known to lay the foundation of the anime. Moreover, it has been announced that the anime will feature two consecutive cours.
Opening And Ending Theme of Sword of The Demon Hunter
Apart from the one-hour-long special, the Opening Theme of the anime is titled โContinueโ and is sung by NEE. The second Promotional Video featured a snippet of the song with the singer singing the song as the lyrics are displayed on the screen. The Ending Theme, titled โSen-ya Ichi-ya,โ was announced before, and was performed by Hilcrhyme, featuring HYโs Izumi Nakasone.

The streaming platforms for Sword of the Demon Hunter differ from region to region. Prime Video, Netflix, Hulu, Bandai Channel, etc., are a few of the streaming platforms for the upcoming anime. While all these streaming platforms require subscriptions, fans from South and Southeast Asia and Oceania, except Australia and New Zealand, can stream the anime on Ani-One Asiaโs YouTube Channel. The anime can be streamed on Hidive in North America.
