• Concealing Barriers: As revealed in the movie, the entrance to the Tombs of the Star Corridor is protected by a barrier. This barrier manipulates over a thousand doors. As such, the entrance constantly changes while only one door is connected to the pathway leading to the tombs. This pathway also leads to Jujutsu High’s warehouses. Fortunately, Choso could track the warehouse, allowing him to locate the correct door.
• Empty Barriers: They are completely vacant barriers, the edges of which are defined by an outer shell of hexagonal panels. There are numerous such barriers to the Tombs of the Star.
• Pure Barriers: They are a superior type of barriers that increase the precision of Tengen’s cursed spirit suppression and barrier techniques cast by Jujutsu High assistant managers, such as Kiyotaka Ijichi. The four most crucial locations protected by pure barriers are the Imperial Palace, the Tombs of the Star, the Yamakuni Mausoleum, and Mount Hida.

Tengen’s barrier techniques are irreplaceable in Jujutsu Kaisen because they form the literal foundational infrastructure of the modern jujutsu world in Japan. The nationwide barriers regulate cursed energy and protect important jujutsu locations. In addition, they also act as amplifiers for jujutsu sorcerers and limit the birth of curses.

In comparison, while the barrier on Shibuya was also large-scale, it was temporary and purely designed to trap civilians and force Satoru Gojo to appear at the scene.
