What Is The Blue Wolves Of Mibu About?
Similar to Rurouni Kenshin, The Blue Wolves Of Mibu covers the historical landscape of the Shinsengumi, a group of assassins. The story revolves around a young and fiery man named Nio Chirinu, who wishes to fight for justice, despite experiencing the world around him go through a tumultuous shift from the Bakumatsu era.
He meets Okita Souji and Hijikata Toshizo, two historically accurate assassins who were a part of the Shinsengumi. These wanderers were part of a group called ‘Blue Wolves Of Mibu,’ which shared a similar outlook on life as Nio did. Chirinu decided to join the ranks and contribute to a cause that helped him achieve peace for himself and everyone around him.
