One Piece Chapter 1154 is scheduled to release on July 13, 2025, but before its official release, spoilers have been leaked online. Through the spoilers, some major revelations have taken place. Currently, the Elbaph arc is ongoing, and the story has shifted its focus to the backstory of King Harald. The spoilers revealed that the upcoming chapter is continuing the backstory. However, it also revealed something more. Something that most of the One Piece fandom could not even fathom. The spoilers to One Piece Chapter 1154 confirmed that the most mysterious pirate, Rocks D. Xebec, shares a blood relation with one of the current Yonko, Marshall D. Teach.
What Is the Relationship Between Rocks D. Xebec And Marshall D. Teach?
Rocks D. Xebec, the pirate who was strong enough to make Whitebeard, Big Mom, Kaido, Buckingham Stussy, Gloriosa, and many more big-shot pirates his crewmates, is the father of Marshall D. Teach, popularly known as Blackbeard. The spoilers not only confirmed it, but also revealed Rocks D. Xebec’s full face for the first time. His facial structure is quite similar to that of Blackbeard, and he has two-tone hair.
Similarities Between Blackbeard And Rocks D. Xebec
While it was speculated that Blackbeard might become the present generation’s Rocks D. Xebec, his blood relation to him was unexpected. However, Eiichiro Oda, being an excellent storyteller, gave several hints that it could be a possibility. One such hint came when it was revealed that Blackbeard named his ship, Saber of Xebec, after the legendary pirate.
After becoming a Yonko, the Yami Yami no Mi user chose Hachinosu to be his base of operations, which is the same as Xebec. Another instance when it was low-key foreshadowed was that most of the pirate crews are made up of rookie members who went on to become potent, but for Blackbeard and Rocks D. Xebec, they both recruited people who were already powerful and notorious. Lastly, it is predicted that the captain of the Blackbeard Pirates desires to become the ruler of the world, which is what his father wanted to be.
Apart from these, there are several other fan theories surrounding them, with one of them being that Rocks D. Xebec is the original user of Yami Yami no Mi, and Blackbeard was after it because of his father’s wish. While the relationship has been confirmed, the official release may provide more information to connect all the dots. One Piece is currently in its final saga, and likewise, Eiichiro Oda is slowly filling all gaps to make it an epic story.
