The Whitebeard Pirates were one of the strongest pirate crews in One Piece, with Edward Newgate, popularly known as Whitebeard, as the captain. Almost everything about the Pirate Crew was revealed as soon as they were introduced during the early 2000s. Like their captain, Whitebeard, Marco The Phoenix was also a crucial member of the crew, acting as the Commander of the First Division.
Both of them were quite strong, possessing the powers of the Gura Gura no Mi (Quake Quake Devil Fruit) and the Tori Tori no Mi, model: Phoenix. However, it took Eiichiro Oda more than two decades to finally reveal how these two Devil Fruits actually look. It is fair to say that neither of their designs disappointed and has something magnificent about it.
Tori Tori No Mi Is As Majestic As Phoenix Fire
Monkey D. Luffy remembers Marco The Phoenix as the “Pineapple face guy,” and after the revelation of Tori Tori no Mi’s design, its uncanny resemblance is quite visible. Like Marco’s face shape, the Tori Tori no Mi also looks like a green pineapple with blue flames on its top. The flames have shades of white and yellow in them. It is similar to the fire that surrounds Marco during his hybrid and fully-transformed Devil Fruit form.
Earlier, it was revealed that Devil Fruit is a mythical zoan, with its full name being Tori Tori no Mi, model: Phoenix, and now, along with its majestic design, its overpowered abilities have also been revealed. The mythical Zoan Devil Fruit can fully heal the user’s body from any injury, with regeneration being one of its perks. However, there is an exception when it comes to Haki attacks. While the physical injuries will be cured, the pain inflicted by the Haki attack will remain. The flames can also be used to heal others, but the process is slower when compared to the user.
The Gura Gura No Mi Is A Cheat Code In One Piece
Similar to the Tori Tori no Mi, Model: Phoenix, the Gura Gura No Mi also has a fantastic design that carries a certain aura with it. The Devil Fruit is in the shape of a pear with the top portion having a circular structure and the lower portion having multiple cornered edges, as it broke and was joined with glue. There are crack marks on top of the lower portion of it. Overall, it is a blue-colored Devil Fruit with the lower portion having a lighter shade and hints of white.
The Gura Gura no Mi was once in possession of the World’s Strongest Man, Whitebeard. Its abilities were so tremorous that the Navy also feared it. It can produce shockwaves through vibrations, causing earthquakes and tsunamis on a massive scale, and if not handled carefully, it can be fatal to the user as well. Not only long-range combat the Gura Gura no Mi can also be used in close combat by concentrating the vibrations within the fist and attacking the target. While Whitebeard used to possess the abilities of the Gura Gura no Mi, Blackbeard stole it in some mysterious manner and has since become habituated in using it.
