Similarly, Atsushi Ohkubo has kept the true nature of the Evangelist a secret in Fire Force. Fire Force Season 3 is currently ongoing, but no one can tell the true nature or origin of the main antagonist of the series.
The identity of the Evangelist has always been one of the most discussed topics in the Fire Force fandom, with people coming up with several theories. While most of the things surrounding her remain unknown, there are a few known facts that have made the character somewhat accessible to the fans.

Who Is The Evangelist – The Mysterious Antagonist Of Fire Force
The Evangelist is behind every bad deed of the White Clads in Fire Force. She is the leader of the faction and appears to possess a godly personality, residing in Adolla, with Shinra and Sho Kusakabe’s other, Mari Kusakabe, being her doppelgänger. Like the White Clad, she dons a white robe with the Sun God’s symbol around the neck. The robe covers most of her face, with only her mouth visible.
She also has two horns that can be significantly identified by the protruding section of the rob on top of her head. The Evangelist’s eye sockets and mouth are empty with cosmic space inside them, and have a sun-like structure floating behind her. In Fire Force Season 1, it was showcased that the character can control sun-like Gold Rings above and behind her head.
What Abilities Do The Evangelist Possess?
Without a doubt, the Evangelist is the most potent character in Atsushi Ohkubo’s Fire Force. She can cause massive earthquakes that can destroy countries, cause tears in Space, and blind people who look directly at her while feeling excruciating pain. Individuals who unlocked the Adolla Link, are can form a connection with the Evangelist.
If she wants, she can bless individuals with more powers through Grace. Grace increases the Ignition Ability of individuals to a great extent, often defying the laws of physics. People who have this capability are known as the Fourth Generation Pyrokinetic, but it is not an everlasting technology, as the Evangelist can remove the Grace if she feels like it.
What Incidents Have The Evangelist Caused?
Fire Force is entirely based on the events caused by the Evangelist. The mysterious, godly being is behind every little thing that happens in the series. Initially, she contacted Sumire Sugita and manipulated her to take the necessary actions to perform the Great Cataclysm. The Evangelist is indirectly responsible for people turning into Infernals through Bugs and Spontaneous Human Combustion.
Leonard Burns and Joker lost their left and right eyes, respectively, due to looking directly at the Evangelist after unlocking Adolla Link. With Mari Kusakabe being her Doppelgänger, the incident with her becoming a bling Infernal, Sho Kusakabe joining the White Clad, and Shinra Kusakabe having the worst childhood was all her fault. The Evangelist is still influencing the plot with new evil schemes through the White Clad.
