Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle Part 1: Akaza Arc will feature multiple battles. The battles will not only be physical but also connect emotional aspects. While all of the battles are exciting, Zenitsu Agatsuma vs. Upper Moon 6 Kaigaku has piqued everyone’s interest. Demon Slayer Season 4: The Hashira Training arc saw Zenitsu getting some devastating news, which also brought Kaigaku into the picture. The two share a long history, with both of them being the pupils of former Thunder Hashira, Jigoro Kuwajima.

Kaigaku’s Dark Nature Makes Him One Of The Most Hated Characters
Kaigaku Inadama is a former Demon Slayer of average height and muscular build, with teal eyes and spiky hair. He is one of the most arrogant, selfish, cowardly, and hypocritical characters in Demon Slayer. He was always looking to take shortcuts and put himself first in every aspect.
Before becoming Jigoro Kuwajima’s student, he stayed with a group of children who were under the care of Gyomei Himejima. To save himself from being devoured by a demon, Kaigaku put out the Wisteria Flower incense by ignoring Gyomei’s orders, which killed eight children, leaving only Gyomei and Sayo alive. His sense of self-preservation and cowardice made him put the lives of Gyomei and the other children on the line for his survival. He resorted to petty crimes and felt no shame or guilt in doing them.
Kaigaku’s twisted sense of right and wrong made him question Jigoro’s teaching and accuse him of favouring Zenitsu. Even though he was a master swordsman with great physicality, Kaigaku’s sly personality made him feel no remorse for his evil doings. When he came face-to-face with Upper Moon 1 Kokushibo, he instantly surrendered and opted to become a demon due to his survival instincts.
Kaigaku Was Never Nice To Zenitsu
Even though they had the same sensei, Kaigaku and Zenitsu were never alike. Kaigaku was evil and sly, while Zenitsu was gentle and caring. Unfortunately, Zenitsu could only learn the First Form of Thunder Breathing, and Kaigaku learned every form except the First Form. As a result, Kaigaku was pretty rude to Zenitsu and treated him like trash. Every chance he got, Kaigaku insulted Zenitsu for his failure. Zenitsu could never look him eye-to-eye because of the difference in their level.
Yet, Jigoro always preferred Zenitsu, which made Kaigaku angry. Jigoro saw that from within, Zenitsu was a better person and was the one who could carry his will. Sadly, Jigoro committed suicide after hearing Kaigaku’s choice to become a demon. Zenitsu Agatsuma respected and loved his sensei, and the news of his passing changed his personality, setting the stage for one final battle between the two Thunder Breathing users.
