The “Witch Hat Atelier” (Tongari Boushi no Atelier) Anime teaser has been officially dropped at the Anime Expo 2024. It is an original work of Kamome Shirahama and has been serialized in Kodansha’s Seinin manga magazine since July 2016. The anime adaptation โWitch Hat Atelier โ is set to release in 2025 and will be available to stream on Crunchyroll.
Witch Hat Atelier: Background and Storyline
Coco, a dressmaker’s daughter, has always been fascinated by magic and witches even though she was born without innate magical talent.
One day Coco sees Qifrey(witch) doing magic, and she realizes that her favorite picture book is actually a hidden spellbook. When she tries magic from the spellbook and accidentally causes a disaster at home, Qifrey arrives just in time to save her. After seeing her potential Qifrey decides to train her.
While training with Qifrey, Coco must improve her skills. Together, they prepare to face the threat of the Brimmed Caps (a rogue group known for their dangerous and forbidden magic).
